autojoin-for-steamgifts's Issues

[Feature request] Give the "Enable AutoJoin in background on" a priority list

Description

One feature that i was dying to see and even thought of implementing it myself, is the ability to give the user a priority list when autojoining on background.

Example: The user configure the extension to first autojoin the Wishlist, then the recommended list, and so on, so if all the giveaways from the wishlist are entered, it starts joining the second list.

This would help me to always spend all the points available at the things that i want the most, while not wasting points just lying there when there are no new giveaways on that list, because if there is at least a game on the wishlist list, it would wait until it have the points available to get it, and when there are not, it would start joining the second on the list.

What do you think?

Background Auto-Join & Hiding DLC do not work

Hey there.

I've recently got a new HDD because of severe computer issues, previously auto join in background worked perfectly. Now, it doesn't, the extension isn't even running in the background (Enabled in SG settings, chrome settings; other background extensions work) and I can't find a fix for it.

Additionally, hiding DLC giveaways does not work at all (doubt this one is solveable on my side)

Auto-join miminum points and level doesn't work

Auto-join for me has been ignoring my minimum points and level.

I have it set to join only level 5 giveaways and 20 points, this is ignored and it joins every giveaway.

This might also effect the priority as well, since I have it set to join higher level giveaways first, but it doesnt.

[Feature Request] Precise time remaining

I'd really like it if the "X [days/hours/minutes] remaining" note was more precise. I know you can hover over it to see the precise time the giveaway ends, but it would be nice if it just displayed a more accurate countdown there. Whether it's static on page load or dynamic and counts down doesn't matter to me. I'd just rather see 0:01:26:34 than simply "1 hour," because truncating that (nearly) half hour makes a difference in the giveaways I might enter, now that the point distribution is fixed.

[Feature request] Option to remind user about checking SteamGifts

Since there is now a chance you can get banned when you automatically use the website, would it be possible to instead (not saying you should remove the existing feature though) remind the user to check the page whenever they have more than X points and/or a certain amount of time has passed?

hide dlc / non trading card

There are options to hide DLC giveaways and Hide non trading card giveaways but these options don't work for me. I can't even put the check there. Sometimes the check shows up for like, 1 frame, then is gone again.

[Feature Request] Adding Schedule when to operate {PC Extension}

So, thinking about this, lets say I use the application for only 5 days a week (while in work), between the hours of 9.30am and 5.00pm, and then with a slight added randomness as to when it picks, and then a delay (again could be random). How can anything tell whether it's a person clicking or a system clicking?

I don't know how advanced the back-end could allow, but you could 'add schedules', maybe a max of 5, then you could have ones that you would do during your 'working access', then one a 'weekend access' and then one 'evening access'

That way it could still be automated, but as the times would only be the times that you'd use the plugin, it shouldn't flag anything up?

[Feature request] Hide regional restricted giveaways

Could you add option to hide giveaways with region restriction?

Currently website offers me to join giveaways even if my country is not in "allowed" list. And I never saw a region restricted giveaway with my country in list. So I would like to hide them at all.

[Feature Request] Random comment

My idea is to make the application select a random comment from configuration panel. Comments could be written divided by a semicolon like:

thanks;thank you very much;nice;great!

With option to randomly select one of these comments. And with one interesting option. If I could leave empty spaces like this:

;;thanks;thank you very much

Then there should be 2 chances for 4, to application would leave no comment.

Night theme not correctly loading in background on Firefox

Hi, I recently transitioned to Firefox from Chrome and noticed a bug that wasn't present in Chrome, though I dunno if the bug is inherent to browser itself - when loading SteamGifts site in background tab night theme typically doesn't load unless I transition to the tab shortly after opening the tab (sometimes it works even after longer time, but I can't find why), other enabled elements (infinite scrolling and join buttons) load normally. Problem is totally absent when reloading the page or loading page in foreground tab.

Not working with ESGST

Stopped working alongside the userscript gsrafael01/ESGST
Used to work before.
The Join button, win chance etc. doesn't show.
Inspecting the background page of extension show my points etc in console, so extensive is active but there is no UI change.

Options are not being saved.

This might be because when I last reinstalled a fresh copy of windows I just copied over the appdata before installing librewolf and the extension, but still, how do I fix this?

AutoJoin every in minutes

Hi there, great job doing this plugin, i only have one sugestion about AutoJoin, and that is to give the possibility of the retry being in minutes.

More Giveaways Page (magnifying glass icon) not working with extension

On the main page there is a 'more giveaways' option to filter and only show you giveaways of that specific game. Looks like steamgifts made some changes to that page, making it incompatible with the extension. Settings like infinite scrolling, and the join/leave buttons do not appear anymore.

[Feature Request] Exiting a giveaway with little chance of winning

Sometimes the plugin enters a giveaway that has a good chance of winning, but over time many people start to participate in it, and this greatly reduces the chances of winning

An option would be interesting to leave these giveaways and use the points in others with better chances

Show Steam rating

Feature request. Would be nice to steam rating on the giveaways page :)

Notification link

Everyday when i have 400 points or more it sends me a notifcation about it but when i click the notification it doesn't open the site can you make it to do that? ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Steam sale

Could you please add the steam sale function auto join again. Or is it chrome only because this is the first steamsale Im on firefox

[Feature request] Add the option to ignore "Minimum giveaway level to enter" when joining games on the wishlist

Description

I think that games on the wishlist are games that you would want to join no matter what, after all, they're on your wishlist, right? hahah

So this option would give the user a setting like "Ignore Minimum giveaway level to enter when joining wishlist games", or something like it, that would completely ignore the minimum level option when joining that list.

What do you think?

In my opinion, this fits well along with #14

Wiki

Hi again,
I first started to contribute to this project to add the "Ignore featured giveaways" options, I just had to do it because entering shit giveaways and manually leaving them was very irritating. Now contributing to this project taught me the basics of a chrome browser extension, and helped me review my very basic jQuery skills. That being said, I'll probably stop contributing to this project as I do not think there is much left to do as of right now.

Before leaving, I wanted to ask for the permission to create a wiki for this project, in order to help new contributor where to start.

Thanks for everything :)

Now that Firefox is switching to WebExtensions perhaps the required APIs are in place to build a FF version too?
