Using the current master branch as of this issue:

Currently hardcoded, define URL in environment.js config file and try to properly style whatever is passed in to fit in the toolbar properly.

It looks like an addition to firefly with focus on chapters (instead of events).

It might be a replacement of boomerang in the future.

Angular 2.2 broke the Angular2-Polymer integration. Beyond that Angular2-Polymer doesn't support AOT, the latest Angular CLI, and more. Plus the Vaadin team has dropped their official support for the project (though thankfully there is still some community support working on a re-write).

I would prefer to wait for Polymer 2.0 (alpha) to reach GA before spending more time and energy on it. Material2 is in very good shape now, so we should be able to move pretty much all of the components over to it.

Setup service worker and support for using the app offline via caching, etc.

For the Angular side of things, it seems like the focus and momentum is with https://github.com/AngularCommunity/community-website. We haven't been able to attract any non-GDG Angular contributors to this project.

For the GDG side of things, there is still a need for a website built on top of Meetup / the GDG-X Hub. But there seems to be more interest atm in building out the backend to keep the Hub going via ingesting from Meetup.com's API. Once that project is done and the Hub is serving up data sourced from Meetup.com, then we can re-evaluate how this project should function. I.e. how we mix our use of calls to the GDG-X Hub and Meetup.com API.

However, we've had very little interest in getting the Hub Meetup.com API integration working so that project may take up all available resources and/or may not be completed.
