At the Ceylon/dev gitter chat there has been some talk about how Ceylon development could perhaps be funded in the future. Among the suggestions were finding a new host company or creating a foundation.
However, I think it might be a good idea to start with a somewhat more low key approach: ask the main developer to create a Patreon account such that Ceylon enthusiasts can set up monthly donations, with minimal administration overhead on the recipient (if the recipient first had to establish a foundation, that surely would be a lot of overhead).

Therefore, I would like to ask you whether you could be interested in setting up such a Patreon account, in order to finance your own (part time) development/maintenance of the Ceylon project?

If it turns out to be an overwhelming success, then we can always pay a revisit to the create-a-foundation idea :)

PS. Thank you for creating the wonderful Ceylon language! I hope it will have a long lasting impact on the programming world.
