COOPCONNECT

A job seeking application connecting cooperates to employees that are best suited for their work environments while at the same time giving people a chance to work in companies that align with their work styes.

USAGE

Coopconnect will be used by both companies and job seekers.

Companies will be able to do the following

  1. Companies are able to signup, login and update memebership status based on their reqirements.
  2. They are able to search for talents based by job category and view their profile.
  3. They are able to post jobs and see a list of all talents who applied for the job and contact them.
  4. They are able to post surveys that gauge a talents work style to see if its inline with their work environment.They are then able to view who passed and failed the survey.Additionally they can filter out job appicants to show only those who passed their survey
  5. Communicate directly with talents

Talents/Job seekers willl be able to do the following

  1. Talents are able to signup,verify emails and login.
  2. They are able to search for a company and see all associated data available about it on the platform
  3. Update full profile info on login
  4. Search for jobs and fiter them by the diffrent job categories
  5. Participate on company surveys and see results whether pass or fail
  6. Communicate directly with companies

INSTALLATIONS

The app is made with React for the frontend and Rails for the backend.

  1. To set up first clone the project to your local machine
  $ git clone [email protected]:queenslaynaila/coopconnect.git
  $ cd coopconnect
  1. Then run the installations for both backend and frontend
  $ bundle install
  $ npm install --prefix client
  1. After installation start the server by runningg
  $ rails s
  1. Then open another terminal window and start the frontend with
  $ npm start --prefix client
