I'm sorry, it was gotcha with the default PartialOrd
instance, the following modification works as expected:
#[derive(Copy, Clone, PartialEq, Eq, Debug)]
struct Q(i32);
impl PartialOrd for Q {
fn partial_cmp(&self, other: &Self) -> Option<Ordering> {
Some(self.0.cmp(&other.0).reverse())
}
}
impl Ord for Q {
fn cmp(&self, other: &Self) -> Ordering {
self.0.cmp(&other.0).reverse()
}
}
fn main() {
let mut pq = PriorityQueue::new();
pq.push("Apples", Q(5));
pq.push("Bananas", Q(8));
pq.push("Strawberries", Q(23));
assert_eq!(pq.peek(), Some((&"Apples", &Q(5))));
}
Have a nice day!

Keep in mind that, as stated in the doc, you can use the standard wrapper Reverse<T>
to obtain what you want.
