How does it compare?

I'd like to add a longer pause after a command, let's say 3 seconds. How would I do that, without changing the step? And without clearing the screen?

By combining asciinema and tmux, it is possible to do multiple screen terminal capture.

In short, you can specify the command that is going to be recorded (defaults to $SHELL) using the -c CLI option of asciinema.
For example, you could something like:

asciinema rec -c "tmux attach -t terminal-capture"

Is something like this possible with asciinema-scenario?

Hey there, love this little tool. A few enhancement requests assuming this is still being maintained.

1. Being able to escape special / control characters. For example $, -- and #. If I wanted to use asciinema-scenario to create a scenario that explains how to author asciinema-scenario files, i'm not sure how to display the example file content

2. I can get pretty far by inserting timeouts all over the place, but it would be nice if I could change the step at arbitrary locations for dramatic effect. Both within a single line and for various sections of the file. Maybe I want to clear the screen super fast using -- with a small step and then start typing at a slower step. Not sure how to do that currently.
