there hasnt been a need for this yet, but certain future modules might need to be able to reference something that was said in the channel. so there needs to be a functionality that logs everything said in the channel.. like perhaps a configurable backlog (5000 lines), and the option to write older stuff to disk. then there'd be an api to access/search this log.

would be nice if bot/botserver were aware of who's signed in (by IP, username or user/pass tracking somehow) and maintain that state for module usage.

I'll try to implement some kind of string substitution. I'm not sure whether I should change the command parser to check for !s/this/that or require everyone to use !s /this/that (with a space to help the bot know it's a command.

We need a !meme command.

Maybe use http://version1.api.memegenerator.net/ or re-code the old meme module we had before.
