Even though credentials are ignored, suggestion from @jrhorn424

An AWS_REGION key needs to be set to avoid Amazon errors.

^ this was what I saw for my region options when creating a bucket. I went with Northern Virginia, but yea US Standard is no longer an option.

I pasted the JSON, but I see no save option in the modal!

After generating the JSON policy object I tried to paste it into the bucket policy editor window and it gives me an error that says:

Invalid principal in policy - "AWS" : "arn:aws:iam::278492089080:user/wdi-up"

I dont know if this might help, but it says wdi-up instead of upload. I remember typing "upload", maybe I'm tired and didn't type the full thing, but maybe that will help.

Let me preface this by saying I'm not sure if they're valid concerns or not, I haven't read the README since I did it last year, but thought these might help us better instruct people in the readme.

for the aws homework, is the arn everything directly after “arn:”  ??  so it starts with “aws” and ends with “wdi-upload”?

yes, but if youre having trouble with the bucket part then make sure youre deleting the < and > on the outsides of your bucket name

so to answer my previous question : for the arn number in principal, DO include the leading “arn” in the principal field

For AWS it says to Save the file credentials.csv to this repository.
but then the checklist says to Save said access key csv inside this repo.
So both? if only one, which one?

edit: credentials.csv need to be added not accessKeys.csv

i.e. all of the IAM and S3 numbered steps should look like this, and once that change has been made, this extraneous check list can be removed.

It appears as though AWS has ran an update causing steps two through five to be incorrect. It is still easy to figure out what to do, the button titles are just labeled differently
