I happen to have both a Mac and the desire to make a few bluetooth controllers work with Haskell.

The other bluetooth libraries out there, namely bluetooth-simple and ble, don't work with OS X as far as I can tell.

I think that by at least trying to make OS X bluetooth interaction work I'll learn something about the bluetooth standard and about Haskell as well. At best my effort could serve as a base for others to build some decent code upon.

I'm aware that someone made a Haskell binding to Apple's SpriteKit framework https://github.com/mchakravarty/HaskellSpriteKit. I hope I can use this as a reference for a binding to the bluetooth framework.

With your go-ahead, I'll provide major progress updates in this issue thread if and when they happen. I'll keep to myself mostly but it helps to know that I'm not alone in my desire to get bluetooth support for Haskell.
