cross line laser

Hi!
Will this work also if i only have a cross line laser on hand?

Kindest regards,

/Jesper

Tested cameras?

The picture quality was significantly better than some of the other cameras I tested, and this project wouldn't have been possible without it.

What other nozzle cameras did you test it with? I recently bought one of these and would be great if it's sufficient..

Also, does this project work with non-metal build plates, e.g. wood, plastic or glass?

Question

good morning,
I'd like to know how you managed to read the x and y position and control the measurement.
I want to scan a surface in x and y and generate a map of the adc values of a sensor on the machine.

Camera choice

Hi again!

Which of the cameras at 3DO should i get?
I guess not the glued one?
Then there is one that is called enclosure and one called not glued?

/Jesper

Some requirements unclear

A few things seem unclear, mainly how to actually run this on the host. I see it is in a docker container it seems.

Also no reference for a resource requirement for running this on the host. Most voron kits are coming with 2gb host boards, the only exception being Siboor's V0 kits. But they either have broadcom (Rpi) or an allwinner (Opi). But most klipper specific boards have 1gb of ram

Used laser

it's not a problem but a question, I didn't find any other way than to ask about the project,

hello, I've been looking at the laser you recommend, but I don't see the data for it in the specifications.

How many mW is the laser you are using?

this is because I can't order to my location.

although I can get others of the same type, with focus on the beam, but the ones I use are 1mw of power,

but the supplier has other powers,

although I think that here, given the proximity and the possibility of exposure to leisure, the less powerful the better correct?

but I would like to know your opinion, what do you advise, 0.5mW, 1mW, 3mW ...

the ones I've seen besides the that I use professionally are used as pallet position location pointers on forklift trucks.

have the specs output wavelength 635-650nm output power 1mW ( 3 and 5 to but we use only 1mW)
Op current 50mA
Op Voltage 3v/4.5v

thanks
