simple-clock-card's Issues

Better padding and sizing.

This add-on needs padding for each CSS selector: top, bottom, left, and right. How do we control these settings given the current code?

military format

Hi,

I think you should update military format.
in military format you should have 0 in front of the hour.
For example 9:00 should be 09:00.

Thank you,

Mis-labeled options

I really like this clock, but I think the option for "use_military" is mis-labeled. The military uses as 24 hour clock instead of AM/PM, so I would have expected use_military: true would disable AM/PM. Also, AM/PM clocks should show "12" (AM or PM), instead of "0".

Font not scaling

Font does not scale with background, leading to text over-shooting the tile

snip

use_military does not show leading zeros.

The 24-hour format option works fine, but I was expecting military time, which always has two digits for the hour (e.g. "09:00").
Could a leading zero option be added?

Smaller seconds font?

Hello!
I'm using this card in quite a few of my tablets, i love it because it has seconds.
I wonder, however, is it possible to show seconds with smaller font than rest of the clock (hours:minutes)? I would like to have seconds, say, 50% or so smaller.
Any way to achieve this?

Thanks!

Possible to select time zone?

I'm using simple-card-clock on my wall tablets and really liking it.
Now, I'm creating a dashboard for my office screen. If simple-card-clock offered a time zone option, I could use multiple to show time zones of my team.
Thank you for consideration.

Font Size Option

Please consider adding a small enhancement to be able to change the font size in the options. It would be nice to be able to decrease the size of the font to allow a bit more padding around it and the card.

Doesn't appear in integrations

Hi, thx for that but sadly doesn't work for me, have done the first step to install it in HACS but doesn't appear in integrations as explained, any idea?

Abnormal amount of updates

In dev tools, i can see that DIV with clock updates tens of times per second. Why you do that? If it's a bug -- please, fix it.

12:00 PM showing as 0:00 PM

Here is my config:

type: 'custom:simple-clock-card'
use_military: false
hide_seconds: true
font_size: 4rem
padding_size: 50px

option for addind the date ?

Hi, would it be possible to add an option for displaying also the current date?

I imagine it should be displayed like this:

grafik

I've already tried to create something for a PR - but unfortunately, until now I were not able to get the output I want...

I can provide the simple code to add the Date, Month and Year in the expected format, but I could not add it to the output of the clock - without destroying the layout.

Also, what I could imagine are parameters like:

  • Show current Day (Monday, 01.01.2020)
  • Show Month (01.January.2020)

OK - maybe also the format how the date should be displayed (01/01/2020 , 01.01.2020, January 1st, 2020 ... ) needs to be considered... ?

Does not work on android app on older devices

I want to use simple clock card on my old tablet na a wall. However on the card it says "Custom element doesn't exist: simple-clock-card". On my phone and pc it works withoout any problems

12:XX PM

Hi there,

Is there a way to show 12:00, 12:01 and so on when it is PM? At the moment, it restarts to 00:00, 00:01 etc.

Show local instead of device timezone

When traveling abroard and accessing HA this widget shows the clock in the device timezone, not the local HA one.
Could we add a configuration option to always show the local timezone ?

Support Actions

Do you have any interest in adding support for tap_action, hold_action and so on?

type: custom:simple-clock-card
use_military: true
hide_seconds: true
font_size: 4rem
padding_size: 3.4rem
tap_action:
  action: navigate
  navigation_url: /schedule

Here's an example. I use the /schedule dashboard for setting alarms.

Crashes HA edit on the most recent version

I slowly dismanteled my home assistant dashboard to find the offending card and it's this one. On the most recent version of home assistant, you press 'edit' and it crashes the tab on every browser.

I'm wondering why, but I could never find the reason.

throws error "Cannot add property use_military"

Hi,
I have added a repository via the HACS store (should be updated installation options). Restarted HA then, tried to add into the Lovelace the manual card with:

type: 'custom:simple-clock-card'

I received the following error message:

Cannot add property use_military, object is not extensible
type: 'custom:simple-clock-card'

is there something I did wrong or there is an error in the script?

I am running Home Assistant 2021.3.4
