Thanks for the extension, simple and useful.

I'm using it on Pop! Os 22.04 which uses GNOME 42 and the only question there I'm facing is that the extension icon to toggle theme isn't loading. I suppose that could be some missing dependency. I've tried googling the names 'weather-clear-symbolic' and 'weather-clear-night-symbolic' but I wasn't successful finding a candidate for the problem solution.

If the "light" setting is chosen in gnome settings, org.gnome.desktop.interface.color-scheme is set to "default" and not "prefer-light".

I am not sure what the semantics of "default" are. But it currently falls through to the "theme switching error" error message in this extension.

It would be awesome if you could fix this, but it's a small bother, so no rush.

If anyone comes here from google: Go to System Settings -> Appearance and click "Style: Dark", and from there on, this extension will work again.

I know that this is a little nit but could you please change the icons for the light and dark themes? They conflict with the weather extension I'm using in the panel. I cannot figure out which icon to click.

Yet again super useful extension :)

Sometimes if I am really "fat-fingered" I accidently click the theme switcher in the panel. Could you eventually move the button to the system menu as a switch?
For example as an option? Wouldn't need to be the default option, even if I think this would be cooler
