Nice extension, but since v14 it keeps crashing.

Ubuntu 19.10
GNOME Shell 3.34.3

This error is from new-mail-indicator version 18
I am now running v14 without any crashes

When i click on the icon I see "thunderbird : command not found". But my default email client is Evolution. How can I solve?
I'm on ubuntu 20.04

Thanks for offering to look into making two separate extensions, one for TB, one for Evo, with optional text labels to make the indicators distinguishable.
I would be interested to get one for Thunderbird, at the moment I would not need a label as Evolution shows a counter badge in the dock and I would only install the TB mail indicator and space in the panel is usually scarce on my screen.
Depending how much work it is, I wonder whether to keep the original new-mail-indicator for the ones who don't use several email clients or Geary, Mailspring.

All of a sudden this error appears when clicking the mail icon. Full restart didn't help

The extension has ceased to work.
Shows such a message when clicking https://i.imgur.com/9qiE556.png, edits /home/user/.local/Share/gnome-shell/extensions/New -Mail-indicator@fthx/extension.js do not affect its work. Please help with how to fix the work of extension. And what needs to be reloaded besides on / off the extension itself? Gnome 3.34.6 - not version changed before it work.

I have small suggestions for this GNOME extension. I think it more flexible if we can move it to other positions, such as in right or left position in panel. If it positioned in center, it look like have a some distances to clock, it's far. You can look in my screenshot.

I am on Ubuntu 20.04, I installed the extension and it worked flawlessly with the default Thunderbird 68 offered in the Ubuntu Repo.
Then I upgraded myself to Thunderbird 78 (which Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is soon to do anyways!) and the extension didn't work anymore.
Is this a glitch on my side, or has it not been tested with Thunderbird 78?

When i click on the icon I see a thunderbird : commando not found. But my default email client is Evolution. How can I solve?

even though when running
xdg-mime query default x-scheme-handler/mailto
I'm getting
org.gnome.Evolution.desktop

Also after having the envelop icon in the tray I get

P.S Machine has Ubuntu 18.04

Gnome 42 was still compatible and adding its version number to metadata.json was enough to make it work. With Gnome 43, however, it seems more work is needed, as once the new mail icon becomes red it won't revert after reading mail.

I think it would be an nice feature to add a option to hide the icon when there is no new mail.
