dash-from-panel's Issues

Dash from Button

Can you make a simpler panel button to display the dash?
I think this situation is more in line with my needs. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Panel appears right after login and unlocking session

Hi,

Panel shows up right after login (which is quite handy for launching your apps) but it also appears right after unlocking the session, it doesn't hides until you click on it. So, every time I unlock my session, I have to click on any of the icons in the panel.

Would be possible to add a setting for avoiding this? I would like to keep the panel appearing after logging in first time, but not every time after I unlock the session. If that's not possible, just avoid it to appear automatically in any case.

Thanks!

Overlap with tray icons just in some apps

Hi,

I've noticed one problem with tray icons of some apps (so far only Skype), maybe because they are not-to-gnome apps. Anyway, the problem is that, when you place the mouse pointer over the tray icons, the panel appears and right clicking in Skype try icons actually shows the menu and you can click the first menu item, but not the exit one, for example.

So far, it's only this case for me, but quite annoying. A setting for showing the panel only when I place the cursor over the date (center zone in gnome's top bar) would solve it perfectly.

Thanks for your work!

[Request] display dash under cursor, not always in center

I'm not sure how realistic this feature is, but it would be great if the dash appeared under the cursor instead of in the center. That behavior would reduce how far I have to move my mouse every time I use this extension, making it a lot more efficient. Especially for trackpad, it's not realistic to hit the center of the top panel with your cursor every time.

I find that one disadvantage of this extension compared to a traditional dock is that you have to move your cursor up -> slightly down (to get to the dash) -> horizontal, whereas on a dock you just go down -> horizontal. I do think having the dash at the top makes the workspace feel a lot less cluttered, but it would be a lot easier to use if the dash rendered under the cursor.

Unusable for multi-window apps on multiple workspaces

Let's say I'm working on workspace 5 and I need to activate a window of multi-window app on workspace 1. I click on the app's icon in your dash and it opens overview of the workspace 5 where is no window of the app.

Position Issue/feature

Hi there,

This dock is sticky to top of the screen, I moved my top bar to bottom with shell configurator, when I hover over the date, this dock shows on top of the screen.
Maybe postitioning capability could help.

I tried doing it but failed considering my little to no knowledge of gnome extentions

Best Regards

Context menu of favorites not selectable

If I press the right mouse button on a favorite, the context menu pops up, but vanishes almost everytime before I can select a menu entry, eg. I was never able to select chrome to open an incognito window from the context menu. In dock to dash it simply works ...
