Attempting to insert a null date as "" gives:

*** JDBCException:
Message: [Teradata Database] [TeraJDBC 14.00.00.14] [Error 2666] [SQLState 22007] Invalid date supplied for mytable.Refer_Date.

Attempting to insert a null date as nil gives:

Message: [Teradata JDBC Driver] [TeraJDBC 14.00.00.14] [Error 1063] [SQLState HY000] null is not supported as a data value with this variant of the setObject method; use the setNull method or the setObject method with a targetSqlType parameter
SQLState: HY000
Error Code: 1063

This may need a change to clojure.java.jdbc/insert-rows (specifically set-parameters) to handle nil objects and call .setNull
