map's Issues

Right-Click Menu on Map

On marker:

  • delete marker
  • waypoint projection
  • center map

Not on marker:

  • create marker
  • center map

Accelerate marker navigation

I use existing markers a lot. In order to reach the positions of the respective markers faster, I would like to suggest 2 improvements:

  1. Switch the positions of the "Edit" button and the "Show on map" buttons:

Reason:
IMHO the "Edit" button is used less often. If the "Show on map" button is on the far left, it can be reached more quickly and precisely.

  1. Make the upper area of a marker entry clickable and assign the "Show on map" function to it.

Reason:
You don't have to hit the little "Show on map" button precisely, which speeds up navigation to the marker point considerably.

Marker settings

  • Display coordinates format
  • Default color / random
  • Default radius

i18n is not applied to markers/lines

Reproduce:

  • add some markers, lines
  • reload
  • -> there's no translation in the marker, line items
  • after changing the language, everything is translated properly

Coordinates are wrong

When you create a waypoint the coordinates are wrong and do not match the location on the map. I have compared this with several other maps.

Projection feature

  • distance
  • bearing
  • target marker setings (name, color, circle)
  • should a line be created (configurable color)?

allow multiple active sidebars

The new split sidebar with multiple categories makes common operations like switching between maps and adding operations quite click-heavy as one has to switch between the sidebars first to react those options.
Would be nice if instead of showing only the 1 sidebar clicking the selector would toggle the sidebar. The css already supports multiple active sidebars, it's just the toggle that needs to change.
(Also the content would have to be optimized a bit more to save on vertical space)

Screenshot of the current version, just a few "active" classes added to selectors and panels - and in red parts that could be removed (in multi-panel mode?) to save vertical space:

if you don't like it as default - maybe as a config option?
