Factor out mutation function
Currently, the mutation function is part of the gene mixing function... but for "organisms" that are procreating a-sexually (through division), having access to mutation separately would make sense.
Provide 8, 16, 32 bit resolution
For less complicated use-cases, smaller types would be enough and save memory. So it would make sense to have 8, 16, and 32 bit versions.
