com.teamspeak.teamspeak's Issues

Teamspeak fails to start

After the last flatpak update to teamspeak the app will not longer start.

I have tried several things:

  1. Removed all flatpak installations (only had TS3 and it's required dependencies)
    2 Reinstalled teamspeak and dependencies
  2. Tested the Teamspeak official download and checked the start.sh against the flatpak version- they were identical and the official version started normally
  3. Started Teamspeak from the .sh in the flatpak directory /var/lib/..../extra it started normally and worked perfectly

I have to assume that some config in the flatpak version is not correct.

I get the following when trying to start it with flatpak run com.teamspeak.TeamSpeak

flatpak run com.teamspeak.TeamSpeak QCoreApplication::applicationDirPath: Please instantiate the QApplication object first qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (8 8 8 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 8 8 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 1 8 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 1 1 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 1 1 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (8 8 8 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 8 8 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 1 8 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 1 1 0) qt.glx: qglx_findConfig: Failed to finding matching FBConfig (1 1 1 0) Could not initialize GLX /app/extra/ts3client_runscript.sh: line 47: 6 Aborted (core dumped) ./ts3client_linux_amd64 $@

Installation failing because of 404

Hi,

Teamspeak removed the files for 3.5.1 from their servers, which means all new installations will fail.

I submitted a pull #18 updating to 3.5.2 released yesterday. I'm currently running it from the test repo and it seems to work fine :)

Failed to create OpenGL context on openSUSE with NVIDIA card

I am on @openSUSE 15.1 and when I install the flathub package, I get a libGL error.

process isn't exiting completely

If I run TeamSpeak, connect to a server and exit the program with the 'x' button of the window, it doesn't exit completely. This can be reproduced by running flatpak run com.teamspeak.TeamSpeak in a Terminal, connecting to a server and closing the application with 'x'. But if I use "Connections -> Quit", the process does exit completely.

To fully kill the program you need to send a SIGKILL, the SIGTERM doesn't work, to bwarp -- args 41 teamspeak. If started from Terminal 'ctrl + c' is enough.

This works without Problems if the vanilla version of TeamSpeak is used.

I put in teamspeak with flatpak, but I can't enter Japanese.
What I've tried is the information already lying around on the net, but it's all gone.
The inputs I'm using are ibus and ibus-mozc.

Unable to switch to beta branch

I've been using the app for quite a long time and it's working mostly flawless for me.

However I recently wanted to switch to the beta branch to use some of the sweet new features (Automatic voice leveling!!!!) and am getting greeted with permissions issues by the auto updater of teamspeak.

Just wanted to check in and see if this is something that can be fixed in this package or if I should just switch to the version from teamspeak.com for now until the changes are merged into the stable branch.

Thanks for your hard work folks and keep it up!

TeamSpeak 5

Please consider updating this package to TeamSpeak 5, or providing an alternative package for it. It seems development on TS3 has basically ceased, and many Linux issues on it have gone unfixed for years. For example on Wayland it's impossible to bind any keyboard shortcuts whatsoever -- only mouse buttons work -- even when the window is in focus (so it is not the usual Wayland global shortcuts issue).

TS5, in comparison, does not have these issues in my experience. With KDE's legacy global shortcut support it even works alright on Wayland.

Flatpak updated to beta Teamspeak5 and requires login

Hello,

today my flatpak installation of Teamspeak 3 updated to Teamspeak 5.

Teamspeak 5 is still marked as a beta version and requires a Teamspeak account to use it (it is explicitly marked as necessary for the beta access so that requirement will probably go away when the beta ends).

Due to that, I suggest that the teamspeak version on flathub should be kept at Teamspeak 3 until Teamspeak 5 is out of beta.
Alternatively, TS5 could have been added as an additional software for those that want to update to a beta version already.

Regards

Teamspeak3 flatpak version got updated to Teamspeak5

Hello!

It seems like the TeamSpeak3 Flatpak got updated to the TeamSpeak5 version today for some reason.

I'm a newbie and not quite sure how to file one of these correctly, but I got pointed here so I'm giving it a shot!

Process not exiting

After closing the teamspeak window one process ts3client_linux_amd64 keeps running and takes 100% CPU on one core.

Segmentation fault on TS start

After the app launch, I see the following.

package overwrites TS3 clients as well

I assume this is a mistake, but the update overwrites all TS versions that have been installed before. No matter whether it has been a TS5 or TS3 client before.

Because TS5 needs an TS account as mandatory, it's no longer possible to use TS without an account, which is supported by TS itself via TS3. TS3 is also still a stable version available at the TS site:

https://www.teamspeak.com/de/downloads/#ts3client

I would therefore recommend to split it into two versions, one TS3 and TS5.

TS5 is NOT simply and update of TS3, and therefore overwriting it is simply wrong in my opinion.

Pop!_OS 22.04 no sound input or output

I'm trying to use this on Pop!_OS 22.04, but Teamspeak does not output any sound. Also, recording does not work either, it seems.
I use Pipewire. Could that be the reason?
