Use some kind of flood fill algorithm to traverse from the last point of an annotation (onmouseup).
When encountering a new label value, start traversing backwards and inherit the new label value for every pixel.
Don't need to store anything in memory (like lastAnnotation)
Wide brush (using drawBrush()) doesn't make a continuous line, probably due to nv.opts.onLocationChange() not being called often enough.
