ACE Quill is an open-source test platform mobile caption phone prototype developed to support usability testing. The prototype uses the speech-to-text (STT) application programming interfaces (APIs) available from Google Speech, IBM Watson, and Microsoft Bing Speech to support research into user preferences related to captioning. The prototype enables direct calling by Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, automatically captioning all audio from the callee for presentation to the caller.
