Sometimes things fail and its rather inscrutable as to why. An env var to spit some debugging info to STDERR would be welcome.

Before it was split into modules, you used to be able to call hopscotch from the command line with a URL to see what it would do. That code is still in Hopscotch.pm, but not callable. Lets fix that!

I chose it because its "the fast one", but its not as well known and perhaps maintained. HTTP::Tiny is probably sufficient. Or whatever.

Care must be taken though; LWP, for example, can support multiple/arbitrary schemes, which we don't want.
