ultimate_addon's Issues

Contact

I'm assuming you've reverse-engineered this cabinet, I have some questions about it, do you have a way I can contact you?

sample.csv

You mention this for creating batches in the windows version, where is the sample file?

Getting an error: this app cannot run on your pc

First time I see this; when I run the exe I get a blue prompt that say that this app can't run on my pc and that I need to contact the software vendor.
I have a vanilla Windows 10 install; updated to the latest patch

Support for CHEAT.DAT in roms folder

Cheats are now supported fora version of the MAME 2003 core. It requires a CHEAT.DAT file in the roms folder of the UCE. Can this be added to the tool?

highscores.dat missing from v2.24 build

Version 2.24 of the build tool doesn't include the highscores.dat inside the roms folder of the UCE. I've seen with the batch build that it includes the file in your roms folder with your zip files, but it doesn't get added into the final UCE that's generated.

Title of games using batch build

When using the v2.24 utility to do a batch build, the Title in cartridge.xml is populated with what comes from column B in the sample.csv sheet. If you call this AddOn_<Game_Name>, it will be displayed as AddOn_Game Name when viewed on the ALU system.

It would be nice if column B could just be the game name, such as 1941, and when the UCE is built, it automatically adds the AddOn_ to the name of the UCE file.

how to add descriptive names to button inputs in .uce

When comparing a custom .uce to a built in game, I noticed the built in game has descriptive names for the button inputs. This makes changing the button mapping easier, compared to a custom .uce without descriptive names for button inputs.

Is there a way to add descriptive names for button inputs in a .uce? Is there a way to define a default button mapping in a .uce as well?

Maybe customization is covered by the config files mentioned in "https://github.com/FalkensMaze1983/ultimate_addon#user-content-file-structure", though I couldn't find documentation or examples of the config files.
