Add visual effects for when the plane is destroyed.
Check, maybe it is fixed already
Maybe some camera intro slide-in effect.
Now they have inconsistent Z realtive position with respect to other elements in the scene.
Add proper support for all kind of resolutions.

Add basic main menu and additional scene for it. Possibly, handle High Score already in the first version.
Easy fix
This effect should give a better visual feedback
Start by changing how the arrows are updated, adopting event based calls instead of per frame checks
The plane should have a rotating transition when changing direction to better give a sense of the direction.
Experimental option: long tap to change completely direction all the way left or right according to the tap position.
To be investigated.
Trying out the game on the Mac, the resolution is kept wide and it is not supported. Possibly this would be fine since the game is targeted to iPhones only (and perhaps Android).
Plane blinks and cannot be further damaged when it is hit by the stormy cloud for 1-2 seconds
Thinking about adding a new rotation effect on the perpendicular axis to allow to pass through narrow openings between clouds. From | to \ and /. This should be enabled only after the plane has already reached the maximum lateral speed. Possibly it should maintain that trajectory only if the finger is kept down on the screen.
Add shadows all the elements on the screen, casted on the sea level.
Quick tap followed by long tap in opposite direction soon after causes unwanted behaviors.
Add the smoke trails left behind by the moving plane.
Add fish and islands passing by, animatd.
Add red border along the screen when there is danger, fire or low fuel.
