Vinnie Johnsons data analysis using Bayesian inference

The code in this repository analyses whether the basketball player Vincent ”Vinnie” Johnson improved his hits between 1985 and 1988, while he was playing for the Detroit Pistons.

The data was collected by Kass and Raftery [1]. It consists of the number of field goals (yi) and the number of goal attempts (ni) in i = 1, ..., 380 consecutive basketball games.

Coding language:

  • R

Required packages:

  • R2jags
