daily_covid-19's Issues

Reinstate local counts

Hi, please could you reinstate the spreadsheet of cumulative local counts of confirmed cases? Although there do appear to be some problems with data quality (e.g. Sheffield dropped from 15 to 1 yesterday), I think it's important that these issues are identifiable, because these local counts presumably form the basis for the total UK counts.

Consistent date formats + citation

Hello,

Thank you so much for collating this data! We are hoping to use it to produce estimates of the time-varying reproduction number at the regional level (we are currently doing this at the country level and regional level for Italy).

  1. We'd like to add you as an author to the work we produce to recognise the work you are putting in doing this. Let me know name and institution if you would like to be added as an author.
  2. Can you keep the date format consistent in the csv files please, saves me a bit of a headache trying to re-format the dates later!

Thanks,
Joel

Data for 17th March and for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

Thanks for recording this data from PHE. We have been using it to power our site.

I'd like to know if this dataset is being maintained and in what capacity? I notice that the data for March 17th (by UTLA) is not yet added. I also notice that yesterday the values for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland were included, but they've since gone. I'm happy to assist with the data collection if I can be helpful.

Other timeseries data source

I'm maintaining timeseries data also: Am cross referencing your site and pulling data from PHE:

)

Will get you the data in R. Finding lots of data quality issues - cumulative counts decreasing for example.

COVID19_cum.csv deletion

Hi Emma,

We were using this as a historical data source, is there a reason beyond the fact it will no longer be updated that it has been deleted?

Discrepancies between COVID19_deaths.csv and tomwhite/covid-19-uk-data

I'm comparing COVID19_deaths.csv with the data I've been collating on https://github.com/tomwhite/covid-19-uk-data, and came across a few discrepancies.

Otherwise all the figures match. One thing this shows is that inferring the figures for England is not straightforward, since we don't know if the reporting times match up.

I'd be interested to see what you think, and if you have any more information about what the reported figures were for these days. Thanks again for all your work on collecting the data.

Open Source Helps!

Thanks for your work to help the people in need! Your site has been added! I currently maintain the Open-Source-COVID-19 page, which collects all open source projects related to COVID-19, including maps, data, news, api, analysis, medical and supply information, etc. Please share to anyone who might need the information in the list, or will possibly contribute to some of those projects. You are also welcome to recommend more projects.
