In WMC when you press a live tv button it takes you to the last channel you watched.
In Europe (especially), the Digital Everywhere FiredTV cards (also called: FloppyDTV, see http://digital-everywhere.digitaldevices.de/) for DVB-C (and DVB-S2) used to be very popular for MCE usages, especially as they simulated DVB-C into DVB-T which MCE supported.
How can these FireDTV cards being used in WMC ?
Thnx, Peter
When you press delete you get presented with a large dialog box you click delete and nothing happens you are still in the item dialogue.
Is having a such a large dialog box with all the delete location and file name really necessary when you constantly deleting tv recordings.
Testing WMC as a Dutch (Netherlands) citizen, I recognise that several items in WMC-beta are still English but sometimes also already in the Dutch language...
Any idea of the status of these (Dutch) translations ?
Grtz, Peter
The series now show up and changing the settings works but pressing cancel series doesn't do anything.
When you watch a recording press back you get to see the item properties for a second and then you immediately taken to the recordings screen. That screen shouldn't appear it should be going back into tv recordings with the recording playing at back in focus.
Currently in tv recordings the description is being cut off due to large space taken by the logo. I think having a logo is unnecessary when there is two rows of recordings. On one row it would fit and hopefully one day we get that.
Well done on your amazing work my family are now using emby a bit more tried before it was few minutes and back they go to wmc. But so far it has been very positive. The constant nag is the slow speed of channel changing but on the positive we don't have to restart wmc some nights three or four times as WMC freezes.
Apologies if already reported. Using on android, am unable to use down on my remote to get to the plus and minus buttons to operate the offset option.

There are several issues when using mixed input methods.
Not sure if I missed something but when watching a film or a TV show, I do not see any option to select/download or pick subtitles in any of the options or menus.
Even from the cog menu
So for a user this looks to be missing.
** Just to Add I mean the option to download Subtitles if they are missing, for other media the icon does show. **
In emby when playing media you see the below as an option
I do not see this in WMC, so I am unable to download missing subtitles. Hopefully that makes sense :D
In Microsoft Media Center, when you click a TV channel logo/name in the guide, it shows a screen with a table view of that channel's programming in a scrollable table to the end of the data it has it in the guide for a number of days.
Is this coming? It was useful in WMC for planning record schedule ahead.
I think you have done this differently by having to navigate to , but the spacing is all odd:
It is easier to use if it just put the programme names without the description?
Also it is not easy at all to see each day and date as just looks like one big long list of programmes.
My photos are organized by folder year and sub folders. For example:
YearFolderName/SubFolder1/jpgs
YearFolderName/SubFolder2/jpgs
YearFolderName/SubFolder3/jpgs
When I launch the photos link, it will display all of my year folders (including thumbs). However, when I enter a year sub folder, all I get is spinning.
Thank you for fixing the delete but there is still a small issue if the video is playing you can't delete it.
This issue is meant to serve as a collection for all requests regarding view customization:
For those who don't have access to the repo of the first four issues, here*s a screenshot:
Currently there is a big gap between channel number and channel logo it would be better if it was smaller.
In Australia it takes a long time for live tv to start with emby clients in general maybe 6 or 7 seconds and the spinner disappears after few seconds and you are just waiting there thinking have you pressed it. WMC starts Live tv within a second on the pc that runs emby server even though it is old it still has tricks up its sleve that others can't replicate. If the live tv could start in half the time it would be ideal solution.
The recorded tv button does not work if pressed while you are in live tv. However if you press the guide button followed by the the recorded tv button it takes you to recordings.
Add warnings directly in the app, for cases explained in the FAQ:
Q: Does it run on phones and tablets?
A: It is currently not restricted from running, but touch input is not supported yet and portrait screens won't be.
In detail:
It has come up multiple times now, so I'm adding this as an enhancement.

Not sure whether it will look like this, but I appreciate the effort in creating this:
Within the live tv recordings screen of WMC there was a way to flick instantly between an episode timeline and a timeline grouped by series, whereby if you entered the series "folder", all series epsiodes were displayed in a timeline. There was some indicator of unwatched episodes in a series.
its no different really than the two views within emby:
but having them accessible from one screen and just being able to flick instantly between the views was so much more convenient than emby. it sounds trivial but it was the first thing i looked for in the beta - thats how much i miss it 10 years later!
the one thing i don't remember was how the the switch was initiated - i'm pretty certain it was a button on the remote rather than on the OSD though
Just a purely cosmetic you are watching a recording click back to go to another recording the blue overlay at the back disappears and you can see the video and the recordings at the back clearly.
The same happens when you are in the tv guide and you click on a programme while there is video at the back blue overlay disappears and the back is clear.
Well done on this effort - I would like to see the old WMC photo screensaver again :)
Any suggestions of alternatives to a close match would be appreciated!
