Hi Elena,

Fellow immigrant here. Thank you for building something that I've been wanting to build for a while! I came to San Francisco through the Silicon Valley Internship Programme (SVIP) and I can definitely speak very highly of it. The program introduces you to many nice companies (I worked for Coffee meets Bagel and I learned a ton!) and helps you with the immigration process.

Aside from the internship experience you get as a software engineer, SVIP encourages all engineers to participate in events that connect you with other successful entrepreneurs and provides legal support if an alumnus decides to start a company.
I was part of the program 4 years ago, but I am still very much connected and passionate about what SVIP is doing. Hopefully, we manage to encourage other developers and entrepreneurs around the world to try this 1-year experience!
