As title says. Either causes an error, or hangs playback at 0:00.
Forced videos to load in html5 with magic actions for youtube extension equalizer has never worked, works on mac great
MacOS 10.10. Chrome Version 41.0.2272.89 (64-bit).
Whenever the extension is active, anything on gfycat will not load. It simply displays a still image.
Disabling the extension and the problem is solved.
Hi, This is great extension, but I have a problem with it. I have installed this extension and process audiodg.exe (LOCAL SERVICE) (Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation) is still loaded on 10-11% (no music playback) and fan in my laptop is slowly spinning. If I close Chrome browser, then the process has 0%. If I again open Chrome browser, than again about 10%. If I remove this extension and close/open Chrome browser, then the process keeps 0% load. Is normal that the extension causes loading of this process on 10%. Or is it an issue? I have Win7 64b, SP1 and audio Realtek R2.73 driver. If you need more information or picture, please let me know. Thank you

After using "save as" to save a preset, it will show up in the drop list. But if I switch to another tab, the although the current EQ config still remains, the preset I saved were gone in the drop list. Using Chrome 49.0.2593.0 dev-m on Windows 10 (build 10586.36)
I have installed the HTML5ify app and in Google Music Labs I have HTML5 Audio enabled, but the equalizer doesn't affect the sound from either of these sources. It is working on the Youtube test videos though. Is there a way to get the EQ to work on these sites, or are they not supported for some reason?
EQ is not working on my google crome 10 please help !
It would be nice if there was an option to disable the Audio EQ item on Chrome's right-click context menu.
Hi,
first of all thanks for a great addon for chrome.
I propose you to add a great new functionality to your app.
I like to listen music and watch music videos in Chrome. But it sounds very bad, on my 5.1 home theater, in chrome comparing to any mp3 player software like foobar2000, aimp, winamp, itunes etc. The problem is that any stereo audio source is playing only on front speakers.
And would be perfect if we can customize it:
I think a lot of users who have a 5.1 surround systems will agree with me.
I think it will be also not a problem if this feature will be paid.
PS. Sorry for my bad English
For some weird reason the icon cant be bigger then 128px :/
When tweaking the config, I found it easy to make it overdrive and sound awful. So, if the icon can turn red when the sound is overdriving, I will know that I made it too loud, and should probably lower down the pre-amp or the EQ config.
Also, if possible, I want to have a auto gain control function, that when the sound is overdriving, it would automatically lower down the pre-amp for a brief moment, to make it sound a little better.
audio EQ will not work on my you tube or aney of my music please help make a better audio sound thank all who make music so much better ,your sound man!
Chrome-Audio-EQ is just wonderful. Recently, for me, the only reason to use chromium is this extension. There are any plans to extend this to Firefox?
The NPR player doesn't work if this extension is enabled. For example,
http://www.npr.org/series/98679384/first-listen
After disabling this plugin or going incognito, they work again.
I'm using the EQ for listening to Google Play Music, and it works great. However frequently when closing a tab, there will be an audible scratch/break in sound. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the extension multiple times to confirm it's definitely the extension and not Google Play Music. It doesn't occur when the extension is not installed. I'm using a basically new MBP, so I don't think it's a resources issue. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help debug.
I updated to 53, and re-installed the audio-eq aswell, but i still have to do manual presets.
Is there a way to change the preset cache or data to a certain one, in order to loophole the bug?
This extension appears to turn on PreventUserIdleSystemSleep on Macs, which prevents the computer from sleeping when the user has been idle for a certain number of minutes. In my own test on a Mac Pro running Mavericks, turning this extension on and off changes the PreventUserIdleSystemSleep setting to 1 and 0, respectively, when you run "pmset -g assertions" in Terminal. Is this by design? Is it avoidable?
This has recently stopped working when streaming via Google Play Music. HTML5 audio is enabled in the Labs settings of Play Music, and the extension still works with other sources of HTML5 audio such as Youtube.
The above says it all. Had to disable the extension to use hangouts on this chromebook.
When I start the browser, the Audio EQ is not applied although the GUI is still at the previously set EQ. After browser restart, to make Audio EQ work, I have to hit reset and then click on the desired EQ.
When I close my Acer C710 Chromebook (16GB SSD) and then reopen it, or when it wakes from its own self-induced sleep mode, any audio playing will have an audible background click or pop that occurs at about 1-second intervals. After disabling Extensions in Chrome one at a time, I narrowed it down to Audio EQ.
When the click begins, and it always does upon waking Chrome when audio is playing, I can disable Audio EQ, re-enable it, and the click goes away. I just discovered that hack today. Prior to this, I had to restart my Chromebook to make the click stop.
Hopefully that indicates how much I like Audio EQ, too. Although, to be fair, I didn't find the source of the click until today. It's certainly not a deal breaker, but it is very noticeable once you notice it the first time.
The thing is that the click isn't consistent, or at least doesn't sound like it. It varies in volume, and at times, even in quiet passages in the music, can't be heard. It IS a background sound and has to be listened for, but again, once you hear it, you'll always notice it.
Nonetheless, Audio EQ is a wonderful extension! Thank you. :)
The eq isn't working anymore on this new chrome update. Could U fix it???
Found following error in dev tools console:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Failed to construct 'AudioContext': number of hardware contexts reached maximum
I think, caching of audio context instance should prevent the instance limit issue.

this.AudioContext = new webkitAudioContext();
Chrome Audio EQ ver.0.3.1.0 and Audio EQ ver.0.3.1.1 were worked well until Chrome 35. Thankful.
But not working in Chrome 36.0.1985.125. Please fix.
I use this extension to compensate for the frequency response of my headphones. I know this could be done system wise, but has proved to be a little troublesome and this extension is much easier to work with. :-)
It would be cool though to be able to save my custom settings as a new preset.
When Audio EQ is turned on, BandCamp outputs no sound along with Instagram. Google Play Music, YouTube and SoundCloud work fine with the extension as I can hear the applied EQ curve.
When I play an Instagram video on the site it has no sound but the video plays. If I play the video file directly, it has sound. Disabling Audio EQ made audio play on the website.
Try watching a public video on Google Photos with the extension enabled - https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPIZDBQO3y0gBAFBYfHpudHgY2rbVoHv8UFnf2NGteo5hiQl8c62sTxuB6FnNkngg/photo/AF1QipNWmHqdW8AngGiBsfyRSgw_ankArZQ1ZksByKCt?key=Q1VyYTBBQ2FRRnQ5S2xzUDVoN1RyTEZRWUtEYV93
Most videos almost alway stop playback with an error screen that says "An error occurred. Please try again later.", especially if you try to pause the video. If you disable the extension, this does not happen.
Hi, I love this Eq, it works well. There is just one bug which bothers me. If I close Chrome (I'm on OS-X, all up to date) Eq won't work again until I open the icon and choose another preset, or change one of the slider in the current preset. It seems as it would be in a "Sleeping" state... My elderly mother always forget this, and sometimes even me myself until I few songs was played. I'd really appreciate if you could point me to the problem, or fix it if it's possible.
Thanks.
After the last update (13th of July I believe) I've found that cookies are not sent anymore when requesting HTML5 audio. I've found that Audio EQ is the reason after enabling / disabling extensions installed on my machine. Are anybody else experiencing the same problem?
Hello there,
Is there any issues with the equalizer when using Google Play Music?
The extension works just fine with Youtube for example, but with Google Play Music after forcing HTML5 it doesn't work.
Thank you
Google Voice doesn't work with extension
Change reset to on/off without reseting the eq settings.
the "presets" button is not working properly in the new "52" version of Chrome. there is no response when you click it. you have to control all of the settings manually now.
No audio in Pocketcasts.com web player when this extension is enabled.
I uploaded videos to Google drive and tried to watch them,
Found out that after 2-20 seconds your plugin is disconnecting videos.
Your plugin makes videos unable to watch until i disable your plugin.
This problem exist only with original Google Drive Video Player so far.
I'm getting tired of switching this plugin on and off just to watch video on Google Drive.
I'm fully sure it is a problem of this exact plugin.
By the way, it seems that it takes time until it starts first to disconnect videos. (~1 - 120 sec, as for me)
When disconnect appears first time, then it starts to disconnect all the videos after few seconds of play.
After disabling your plugin - videos on Google Drive plays videos well.
It would be nice if I could pan each tab to a different location in the sound field for watching more than one video stream at the same time.
I had been using this extension for about a month without issue (Google Play music, HTML5 enabled in Labs) when suddenly it stopped working. The only thing I can think of that I did at the time was install and immediately uninstall the Hangouts extension. This also forced me to log into Chrome, which pulled extension/bookmark info from my other PC.
The preamp does nothing, EQ does nothing, Mono toggle does nothing. Any ideas?
I want to help refactor your code so it's easier to optimize and update. Some of the scripts have big giant try blocks with smaller try blocks nested inside of them. It would be quite helpful if you could go through and put a comment //DANGEROUS
after any function calls that you already know have risk of failure.
So far other than Youtube, all other sites that stream videos in HTML5 will have the sound disabled/muted as long as Audio EQ is enabled or installed.
Only Flash sounds work while Audio EQ is enabled.
It works nice, but it has some drawbacks after a while (it works on other sites randomly), specially while trying to play youtube videos which are embedded in non youtube pages, if you click play, it will start buffering (loading) the video but it won't play even after dragging to another position it doesn't answer and the video won't play anymore, even after that, opening the video in youtube page it won't play until you restart chrome or disable this extension.
Tested on Windows 8.1 and Chrome 39 64bits.
Notice: I've seen this issue only with youtube videos, other html5 videos seems unaffected.
It would be great to add a blacklist for pages, so it won't apply the sound equalizer on every page you visit.
Weird arrow on windows...

When watching Netflix there is a sync issue with the audio. When Chrome-Audio-EQ is disabled Netflix returns to normal. I would like to see an On / Off option on Chrome-Audio-EQ instead of having to keep disabling
Hi suddenly around mid April 2015 I stopped getting Audio (tunin.com) on one of my PC's via chrome
after tinkering around found it works (sound comes through) in incognito (where the plugin is diabled).
With this extension enabled, audio does not play for any videos on streamable.com, example - http://streamable.com/ifay?t=3.8
With extension removed, audio plays fine.
