Hi Edward, your post on the RUST forum was very timely in two respects. First, I'm new to rust and this clarifies USE and export syntax. Also, I have a legacy app conversion that's a good use case for this technique. It seems well suited to complex projects. You can reach me at [email protected].

Performance: If my understanding is correct, This seems to potentially increase build time but would not impact runtime where mod_universal is used in a trivial way. Isn't that correct? It certainly has many advantages in the early development stage.

Q: Generally, later in development would you make crate_universal more specific to what's used and more narrow scope?
Q: Could you alternatively start off with few exports in universal and add exports to it as you go?
