open-vsx.org's Introduction

open-vsx.org

This repository contains the source of open-vsx.org, the public instance of Eclipse Open VSX. Most of the code is maintained in eclipse/openvsx, while here you'll find only adaptations specific to the public instance.

The main artifact is the Docker image available at ghcr.io/eclipsefdn/openvsx-website. It contains the server application with customized frontend and base configuration.

Claiming Namespace Ownership

Open VSX namespaces are public by default. Create an issue here to claim ownership of a namespace.

If you want to refute a previously granted ownership, please comment on the corresponding issue.

Getting started

Install dependencies, build assets and start a dev server:

yarn --cwd website
yarn --cwd website build
yarn --cwd website start:dev

Development

We recommend running watch:tsc and watch:dev afterwards to run the TypeScript compiler and Webpack in watch mode.

open-vsx.org's Issues

Claiming namespace syler

its my username and i use it to publish my extensions, im not too bothered if i don't get it.

Claiming namespace grammarcraft

I'm the owner of the domain grammarcraft.de and already publishing under this name space at the VS Marketplace and at bintray and Maven Central.

Claiming namespace [bitlang]

I am using the same published id with Microsoft vsix store and want to carry on using the same id for my extensions, thus there is no confusion in the authorship of the extension.

My largest extension is for the COBOL language.

Claiming namespace [genuitecllc]

I am an Engineering Manager working with my team on CodeTogether. I have just published the extension and it would be great to get the ownership of genuitecllc namespace.

Claiming namespace [Eskilop]

I created the namespace, and I have the same username on github as well as many other platforms, published a color theme on visualstudio marketplace (northernlights)

Claiming namespace HaaLeo

Briefly explain what makes you a legitimate owner of the namespace mentioned in
the issue title.

Well I am HaaLeo 😸 the owner of the repository HaaLeo/vscode-timing and also the publisher of the corresponding VS Code Marketplace extension.

If you need any additional information, let me know.

Claiming namespace cweijan

I create this namespace to publish my extension, I think publish is not security, so I need get ownership.

Claiming namespace warpnet

I'm a DevOps engineer at Warpnet and I've released multiple extensions to the VS Code marketplace including warpnet.salt-lint. I would like to claim ownership over the warpnet namespace.

Please let me know if additional information is needed!

Claiming namespace [VMware]

For future use (since Pivotal got acquired my VMware recently), we would like to claim ownership of the VMware namespace (in addition to the Pivotal one).

Claiming namespace [gencer]

I would like to grant access on gencer namespace as i will publish my extensions under this namespace. There are extensions currently in Visual Studio Code Marketplace. I just have published SCSS Everywhere here. Would like to keep this namespace and keep it in sync with both marketplaces.

Claiming namespace ComplYue

This is my personal name and publisher name with VSCode marketplace, and have published 3 extensions so far.

Removal of trixnz.vscode-lua

I've accidentally published a broken build of trixnz.vscode-lua (v0.12.4) – it doesn't include some files.

Could you remove it, please?

Claiming namespace [eg2]

Hi, I'm publishing under this name on VS Code market place and would like to claim ownership of this namespace.
