I plan to use the same set of memcached servers used in a rails app in erlang to share things, is the consistent hashing mode compatible with the ruby memcache-client library?

There seems to be deprecated information in Chapter 2.2 of README, the cluster supervisor information still contains mcd_starter.

I have been using mcd, for one of my projects. At some point in my load testing, I get the {error, overload}. Could you please tell me if there is a limit on number of outstanding asynchronous requests. I was looking at the code and it looks like the default limit is 1024 (QOut > 1024) . I changed it to a bigger number of 8192 but I still got the error. Could you please tell me how to solve this. I didn't seem like changing the limit of the variable QOut had any effect on number of outstanding requests. I want outstanding requests to be much bigger than that. Can you tell how to set it a big number.

The rebar.config file only accepts lager version 2.0.1. Is there a reason it doesn't accept later versions of lager? This becomes a problem if you want to use mcd in Ejabberd, which uses a later lager version.
