Hi,
I have discovered that if you start a new bullet underneath another bullet, the new bullet will auto indent. I do not like this behavior as I often want to create lists with no indent. When creating bullets, I use the dash (-).

I swapped sd chips in my phone to another and It kept the app but my data was not transferred... It did not even transfer the introduction to writerplus doc. Anyway to retrieve it? I'm just glad I keep rough hand copies.

I am having trouble saving changes I've made to a text file on my android device, not created with Writer Plus.

Your great editor could benefit from the following Markdown shortcuts, when using an external keyboard:

H1, H2, H3: Ctrl + 1-3
Italic: Ctrl + i
Bold: Ctrl + b
Quote: Ctrl + q
List & Numbered List: Ctrl + l

So if the text cursor is at the beginning, end or in the middle of a word, then pressing the above mentioned shortcut should format the word correspondingly.

If document had created or changed at 22:57, app at 23:02 should show that the file had changed 6 minutes ago. But app shows "1 hour ago"...

I would like to be able to disable all auto-formatting: blue quote lines, links, etc. Anything that makes Writer+ a rich text editor and not a text editor. We get these rich text effects, but no control over them. It's very annoying. The whole point of a text editor is simplicity and control, and auto-formatting damages them. Thanks for an otherwise great app.

Can't select text when editing with the Google keys

An optional immersive mode, where even the top panel is hidden, would force you even more to concentrate on your writing and remove unnecessary distractions.

Is it possible to have pictures in your notes if yes please explain how if it isnt possible i have a few arguments why this should be possible i am a young writer who likes to take pictures as inspiration i think it is unnecessary to always print them and write something in the Same paper and i think it is not Handy to have them and the notes separated i'm surely not the only one who does this so i recommend that it should be possible to get pictures in your notes

Welcome to Writer Plus. This file was written by englidh. At russian version the file is english too. Is it problem with translation instruction into other languages or with something other?

How can I create a md file or open an existing md file, write into the file and to save the modifications?

My all documents lost but I have still the files but when I am trying to open it, it says I don't have apps to open it.. Those documents were very much important.

Instead of the AM/PM time format in the status bar (where the actual letter count and date is shown in grey), European users should see the date in an "European" format like 23:14 or 07:12.

sometimes I need to search some keywords in my notes, but it seems that the search engine in the app only support search in title instead of full content, is it possible to search in full text?
by the way, it seems that the Google+ community link in App has already disabled.

I wrote a long note and with the app still on, I turned off my phone. When I turned it in again, my lengthy business plan had disappeared.

Can someone please explain? I thought that as soon as its written that it would save automatically. Is this not the case?

I'd like to use Writer+ as a diary, and one feature that would help make this function better would be the ability to sort by time created, rather than time updated, so that entries remain in chronological order when you view them.

I'm trying to transfer my WriterPlus files from my phone to my Chromebook. My files are in my phone's drop down, but my Chromebook's WriterPlus files are nowhere to be seen. I've looked everywhere and can't find them.

is it possible to delete a file?
deleting all its contents leaves it in the list as 'New Document'.

I would like to store my markdown files in a GitHub repo and edit directly from there.

Nowadays more and more smartphones have AMOLED screens and therefore it would be very eye- and energy-friendly to have an AMOLED mode (with a completely black background) in your great writer.

I haven't found out how to backup files with google drive... I mean I downloaded the WriterSync app and connected my google account, and was able to create a .zip file of my backup, but where does it go? I just dont see it anywhere in my google drive account.
Thank you in advance. Really love your app and it would be my favorite if I can find out how to backup properly!

Also, out of subject, but will there be a PDF export possible in the future? How do poeple make manuscripts out of Writer+ ?

If there's one thing I use Writer Plus for every day, then it's lists: to-do lists, grocery lists, making a "braindump" of all the thoughts that my mind is chasing, you name it.

I wish, however, Writer Plus wouldn't automatically indent all my lists' items. Not only does this take precious screen space away on my phone and make the typography look weird with items that extend over multiple lines, but it also makes using the app in conjunction with my editor on my laptop cumbersome, as my editor doesn't add said indentation. So when synchronizing my files between my phone and my laptop and editing them on both, I end up with files with incoherent indentation unless I explicitly add/remove indentation by hand.

So, please (please please) add a setting that allows me to disable this behavior. :)

I can't revert strike-through text to normal one. The following are steps to reproduce the bug:

1. Create a new markdown file with some text inside.

2. Make the text strike-through with ~~.

3. Now remove both ~~.

As you can see, the text remains strike-through.

I'm using WriterPlus v1.45.

Presently only titles are searched. It would be much more useful if the full text of files was searched. Thank you.

I have a hard time getting rid of links. I often accidentally click on them. Also there should be an option for plaintext if i don't want any markdown, links etc. Thank you!

I would love the option to change the default storage location from /Writer/ to a custom location.

Would like original file to not be updated with a date and time stamp each time the file is accessed

I accidently deleted one of my documents via cut function and I couldn't bring it back. Do you have a method to undelete this kind of files?

Writer Plus problem. My new smart phone The Galaxy S10 has updated the OS and now I am unable to place png image files by way of sharing to Twitter nor any other service. How can this glitch be corected?

Chinese punctuation is different from English. So using chinese to write a markdown file is not easy. Hope to add a bottom row which is placed some markdown syntax. It will very helpful for chinese people who loved to use this app.

I love WriterP but badly miss the ability to search for text within an open file. I find that I often have to open my text files in another app in order to use their "Find" or "Search" features for this purpose. It would be lovely to be able to do this from within WriterP itself.

For example, a line item in the text document editing Activity under the verical elipses action bar button that read "Find" (or "Search") and opened a UI Fragment allowing me to enter a string to find in the text file itself would be exactly what I need.

No matter how or how much do I press the + button, it doesn't seems to be doing nothing.
EDIT: It seems to be the "use full display" option that breaks the displaying of the app, generating an uninteractive invisible bar at the bottom of the screen, affecting everything thats under that, including the + button. Deactivating this option for the app, or just rotating the screen solves this problem

When next symbols after any sign space, app counts this sign as a word and shows incorrect word count. For example at list:
" - Apple

• Peach" 4 words.

Is that possible to create a feature where you can protect some files with a password (maybe fingerprint too)?

The lack of this feature is the only reason why I'm hesitant to go all in with this app.

Hello, I am having a hard time figuring out how to transfer my files from writer+ to a different app. Is it even possible?

I can't figure out how to use this, so I've decided to deactivate my account, but I can't find the part where I can do that. In major websites it's easily found at the bottom of one's account page. Even that is hard to find here.

Since every Android user normally also has a Google Drive account, (auto)syncing to Google Drive would be an additional measure to keep your texts safely backuped.

I downloaded writerp 2 days ago. The text is not getting selected immediately when I double tap the word. Even if the word gets selected after multiple taps I'm unable to drag the second bubble to select more text. What could be the solution ?

app reports 102 words when manual count shows 100, 695 words for a piece that has 691 and 1130 words for a 1115-word story.

Hello, I previously had many files that I took perhaps days in total writing time and when I sent my phone in to the shop I had to back up and reset the information on my phone, all of my phone's information went to the SD card. I restored all information and now any files I previously wrote are lost. They are physically on my phone but they will not show in Writer+. I am mad, but also dissapointed. The old Writer dealt with such transferring just fine, and I hope this one will soon as well.

The current shareing function shares content by text. Is it possible to share the whole file (like Writer.md) to 3rd apps? Sometimes this is more convenient to transfer content to the PC.

When using the Night Mode and/or True Black Night Mode, the 3 Dot Menu on the documents become impossible to see.
When I first installed the app, I immediately switched it to the Night Mode before learning the layout so I was struggling to delete the Welcome Document until I happened to tap the right place for the menu.

Versioning (or auto-saving) is essential, when writing long texts and should be part of every serious, even a minimalistic one, text editor.

Hey can you and openssl encryption and decryption for the app.

Just got a bluetooth keyboard, a generic brand.
When it connects, the flashing cursor disappears. This issue is unique to the app and only when the keyboard is connected.
I am trying to rule out if there is some unlikely hidden setting to work this out, but in the meantime, has anyone met the same problem, or tried other keyboards?

Running android 7 on a Moto G 4 if that's any help. Can give more details if needed.

Will there be an Option to open documents?
Or Maybe an File Explorer to open or save documents ?
