Installation

Install with binaries

1- Visit the releases page.
2- Look for the latest release (e.g., v1.0.0).
3- Download the binary to your preferred location (e.g., your home directory).

Usage/Examples

1- Open a terminal and navigate to the directory where you downloaded the binary. Then give it permission to run:

chmod +x painite

2- Run the binary:

sudo ./painite <gz_file_path>

> Welcome to Painite !
> ✅ successfully created JetBrains directory
> ✅ successfully unpacked IDE, took 18s
> ✅ successfully created symbolic link
> ✅ successfully created desktop entry

Enhance binary install process.

Find a easier way to install the binary, maybe a install.sh that downloads the binary and creates a symlink to itself called painite.

Add support for update IDE's

The application should be able to detect and update already installed IDE's.

Add RubyMine support

The application should be able to detect RubyMine IDE.

Add jetbrains toolbox support

The application should be able to detect and install the jetbrains toolbox.

Make it available in package managers.

The user should be able to install the binary through package managers.

Some IDEs receiving build number instead of version.

The application is entering the build number instead of version into the desktop entry attribute VERSION of some IDEs.

Add Thread support

Add Thread to boost app performance.

Add flag to unset symbolic link

The application should not create a symbolic link case the flag is set.
