when testing knn_annual() I checked for leapyears with this function:
is.leap=function(year){
#http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leap_year
return(((year %% 4 == 0) & (year %% 100 != 0)) | (year %% 400 == 0))
}
and always got between 40% and 50% leapyears. Sometimes even more than 50%. Maybe coincidence for only about 10-20 tests, since function uses random functionality, but worth another check.
