@nepalez I just upgraded to Ruby 2.3 so switched to using latest dry-initializer (from GitHub, to include #40, since that isn't yet released).
Unfortunately, I don't think I fixed this decisively. My v1.4 fix works, but my fix merged from #40 still seems to cause the scope to execute. The v2 codebase is far, far harder for me to follow. Might you have any pointers as to something I may have missed?

That being said, this is also in ActiveRecord 4.1, whereas my initial patch was while in 4.0. It's possible there is yet another way in which parameters are being touched that is causing AR to realize the scope.
