Can you please elaborate? There is no .NET Standard 2.2.

Correct, which is why I opened here. Bug is here:

Fix is to increase that to a version that would never be lower than we ever built in servicing here

We can service them, we did for 2.0 and ASP.Net has serviced other ref-packs. We haven’t built this repo for a couple releases though.

I couldn’t find any customer reports for this issue. Given it has an easy workaround (exclude DispatchProxy package compile assets) I wouldn’t “service” for it. Would be nice to fix if we ever build a new ns2.1 refpack.

That's a bug with the ref pack for .NET Standard 2.1, not with the System.Reflection.DispatchProxy NuGet package, correct?

ViktorHofer avatar ViktorHofer commented on July 18, 2024

Do we still service the NETStandard targeting packs? @ericstj are you aware of any customer reports about this bug?

This bug happened to me on .NET Standard 2.2. do you have plan to fix it ?

For those commenting, see above for the workaround. #1791 (comment)

This would be to do something like:

<PackageReference Include="System.Reflection.DispatchProxy" Version="4.7.1" ExcludeAssets="Compile" />

from standard.

terrajobst avatar terrajobst commented on July 18, 2024

We decided to close this as won't fix as it doesn't make the servicing bar for .NET Standard.

The workaround is to exclude compile time assets when using the System.Reflection.DispatchProxy NuGet package:

<PackageReference Include="System.Reflection.DispatchProxy" Version="4.7.1" ExcludeAssets="Compile" />

from standard.
