There are several repos on GitHub identical to this one, exported from Google Code. However, RJ Marsan did more work on Pylaga after Google Code became read-only. His newer version is on sourceforge. I suggest that if you want to work on the game, you start there, or with my fork here. If you're like me, you may have been intimidated by the number of classes and confusing code and variable names, and maybe that is why you haven't worked on it since exporting from Google Code. I tried a few years ago and again in 2018 and finally did lots of work on renaming variables after figuring out what they were, which then enabled me to reduce the number of classes (I eliminated globalvars entirely). My motivation for doing this and for writing you is that Galaga was one of my favorite games growing up, and would like people to not give up writing Pylaga. I hope my changes are encouraging and that others improve it.
