bizualizer's Issues

Is there a way to increase the precision of this audio visualizer?

I have noticed the bars always show the same wave when increasing the number of bars.
Let me explain it better.

Each bar corresponds to a frequency interval, and this interval is smaller when increasing the number of bars, so far so good. The problem is the bar's frequency interval read from a function that smooth out the actual value.

I would like to see bars like these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgP5jeBccfI
Is there any option to change this?
If not would you like to implement it? Or at least telling me where can i find the function responsible for that in your code?

Meanwhile i will be studying your code closer :P

Scaling issues

I noticed with Bisualizer the generated visualizer comes in very large. When scaling in blender the visualizer returns to original size when playing animation. I am using blender v2.9

What to do with get-pip.py Windows 10

I'm a little confused on the guide where it says "Install pip.exe into your Blender python folder by downloading get-pip.py and running it with the python.exe located in your Blender installation folder. You'll need to use a command prompt with admin priveledges." Do I type in a cetrain command in cmd with admin priveldges? Do I double click on the get-pip.py file? What do I do in this step?

Is there a way to change Attack and Release Time?

Hi there,

I know this addon is a bit older but it does what I need. I understand it uses Blender's "Bake Sound to F-Curves" to create the bars. However, in the standard function I have options to choose how the sound will be baked like Attack Time, Release Time, Threshold etc. Is there a way to use these options on Bizualizer as well? Or is it using them already and I just don't know how and how to change the parameters?

Thanks for any answer!
Gordon

I cant do it

It doesnt generate cause says that scene has no attribute collection

Found a bug, and want to talk about a feature request.

Right, so, first of all, I froze Blender with the addon when trying to regenerate the visualizer.
I had locked location and rotation on every band of the visualizer, and then given them a keyframe. I'll explain why in a moment. To top that off, I hid the bands it had generated previously.

I'm guessing this made it so it couldn't regenerate the bands.

So, here's the thing.

I moved the bands so that they would surround my logo, right.
I rendered the video.

But then I wanted to make a new video for another song based on the template I had made, right
But when re-generating the bands, it would always place them how they were originally again.

So, I tried locking the location and rotation so they'd stay in place, which didn't work, so I tried then keyframing rotation and location, which also didn't work.

So, I tried hiding the bands so it'd edit them without changing their location, which still didn't work.
(Froze Blender, it's been 3 hours, it's still frozen. It usually takes like two minutes to generate bands.)

So, due to that, here's me request.
I'd like an ability to regenerate without moving location and rotation, and using the same settings as before.

As it is, going in and baking new curves from audio based on specific frequency spectrum values for each takes way too long, so that'd truly be a blessing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wv4qq-YdDQ
Just to show what I did with it originally. As you can see, there's two versions of the bands, one on the bottom for the left channel, one on top for the right channel.

I had to rename each band of the top ones individually so it'd regenerate a second band, but now it won't regenerate the bands I renamed either.

So, that makes for another issue where being able to regenerate things individually without changing their location, but just the curves and nothing else would be really nice.
