in the console it keeps saying "error while parsing websocket data* closing connection (number)"

I have the no cache folder error even if I do have a cache folder...
And that is only with a provided pre-build release, if I try to build it myself

I'm trying to use this on Windows 98 (with KernelEx) and it won't compile because of missing dependencies. Would it be possible to add releases or actions?

Hey there ! I'm running Talk32 on my old Windows XP computer and it seems that, the client partially work.
Everything is installed, cache is okay, just, um.
The client is sort of lazy, or not speedy.
It seems that the client screen is freezed, and the scrolling bar is duplicated 3 times on the screen.
Only the home button work, saying just a msgbox "Home".
But, the console window is scrolling text, like infinitely.
What i can see on this text is that it is downloading assets via JSON, profile pictures, and... wait, channels, and channels permissions ?
I mean, idk what the app is doing. But if it's assets downloading, PLEASE MAKE IT FASTER !
It is maybe because i have a lot of servers and friends. Idk. Just try to fix this...

Hi, I'm trying to build the app in Windows 10 Pro so that I can use Talk32 on my WinXP machine.
But it seems that I can't even build it?

I have installed Windows SDK 7.1 by first uninstalling VC++ 2010 Redistributables, then installing the SDK, then installing the patch, then finally reinstalling the redistributables.

Is there something I did wrong? Or can you just send me one that's already built please?

I am running it under Windows 7 SP1 (x64) and it is hard to read. I am attaching a screenshot of the issue.

It is not showing its UI as like in the screenshots provided.

Minimizing and restoring the window when they are showing results in them disappearing until I repeat what caused them to disappear, which causes them to show again.

Just asking, have you stopped working on this project ?

So i tried running the program on Windows XP SP3 by dragging the exe out of the releases folder to the root folder, but when i click it to start i get an error that says "The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem".

Im not sure what this means or how to fix it help

It says "Cache folder not found" when logging in, I extracted the 7z, I have an very big account has like 20-40 servers in, Alot of Dms and friends etc, Its doing alot of stuff on Console Window or looping, it just doesnt log in

Hello, i am using windows xp SP3 X86 and trying to use talk32 ive looked at past issues and they help not at all i am getting the error of no cache i even downloaded the cache folder from previous issues and putted it in the "C:\Documents and settings[USER]\Local settings\Application data" with the folder name "Talk32" and it still was giving me this error and also whenever i minimize while putting the token the token bar disappears.

1. server icons arent showing up
2. i cant scroll through the text channels
3. no messages are showing up
4. member list isnt showing up
5. any messages sent in any text channel doesnt actually get posted on the server
6. servers, catagories, and channels show up out of order
7. the screen flickers when i hover over any channel

I downloaded the repo, moved talk32.exe to it's root dir, extracted the contents of cache.7z into appdata\local\Talk32\cache, and ran talk32.exe. After pasting in my auth token I clicked "Log In", and the program immediately closes itself with no error popup and no message in the console
