I think that being able to create shim files and manage the repo from installed locations is useful, as sometimes I'm adding things to my installation that I want to push upstream.

currently the bb.bat command is just a litlte help file. The actual commands get run as separate batch files. I think that the bb command should be the front-end for these other commands.

Usage would be something like:

bb deploy-tool

instead of

deploy-tool.bat

I want to install some tools in-place rather than putting them in the batbelt installation folder. The command should use the existing shim generator to create a cmd file to reference the desired program.

This is useful for 'installing' something that is under active development where we want to dogfood it as it is built. In this case the shim points to the bin/ folder where the project executables are dropped during the build.
