ENH: Remove loading please wait

Would it be possible to remove the Loading, Please Wait message when an
image is selected or at least have an option to show or remove this
message from the forwarder?

Enhancement: Accept .bns files in the sound picker

Sorry for all of the requests, I'm just trying to get in there before 1.3
comes out!

Can you make it accept .bns files as well as .wavs for sound please? All
it needs to do it take the .bns and add an imd5 header.

bns.py is available from the wii.py github so it's fairly easy to
create .bns files now. bns.py only makes stereo files at the moment, but
I'm working on how to edit the stereo file to make a mono bns which
actually isn't that hard - ust a bit fidly.

BNS gives a rough compression ratio of 3.5 : 1 which is nice!

Thanks

Complex Forwarder Still Fails to Compile

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Select "Complex Forwarder"
2.Fill in the information
3.Get an extremely annoying error message over and over again...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

For the program to create a forwarder, not fail

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

2.0, latest devKITs and the libOGC from this site. Vista 64x

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry to post this again, but it was removed last time before I could tell
you that I couldn't find the source code you were talking about, and also
that I have no clue wiht I would do with it.

Perhaps I'm missing a file somewhere, something you might have forgotten
that you need for this feature to work? I'm at a loss and really need help.

Feature Request

Would like to ask to 2 features if possible:

1 - To allow the forwarding to a list of app directory in order
(ex:)
1 - SD:/apps/App1/boot.elf
2 - SD:/apps/App1/boot.dol
3 - SD:/App1/boot.dol
4 - USB:/App2/boot.dol

2 - One awesome thing would be forwarding through button press like "Crazy-
intro".

Thank you....

ForwardMii will not work...

Whenever i press the forwarder button, it will not ask for a complex or
simple forwarder, it will just bring up the box for a simple one. :( help

Complex Forwarder Always Fails to Compile

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Chose Complex Forwarder
2. enter the correct information
3. Fail miserably

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

IT should work as advertised... I'm not sure what else I should say.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

CustomizeMii 1.2 on Windows Vista

Please provide any additional information below.

I love this program, it's helped a lot. The simple forwarder creator works
perfectly. I may not have Devkit installed properly to, but thats only
because I can't find a readme or ANYTHING that tells me how to install it
properly. Not on their website and not on Wiibrew.

Allow sound.bin as an input

I couldn't figure out how to take a sound.bin (bns) from one wad to another
easily. If I use the source tab it tells me there was an error reading the
wave.

It would be great if it could accept sound.bin (bns) in the source tab, or
the options tab please?!

Not an issue. Just an idea.

How about making wads from nothing?

Not using a base, but making each new wad from scratch in a "wysiwyg"-like
environment.

Creating everything from scratch would be more work, but a gui like this
would inspire creativity in everyone :P

Would be the best wad creator ever:)

ForwardMii error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select any source wad
2. Click "Forwarder...", then select simple or complex forwarder, and enter
your folder name (ex. WiiExplorer)
3. Click "Create Wad" button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Finished forwarder wad is expected, CustomizeMii gives error shown above
instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
CustomizeMii 1.2 with ForwardMii.dll included, devkitpro installed with
libogc from the downloads page extracted to the devkitpro folder

Please provide any additional information below.
I've successfully created regular wads with this program and with wadder as
well, so I think I'm doing everything right. Not familiar enough with code
to find the problem but the site below lists common causes of this
error in .net applications if it helps. Thanks

Enhancement: Provide a button to insert default translation for the word "channel" in options tab

This app just gets better and better! Thanks.

It would be nice to have an extra button in the Options tab, when clicked
it would fill in the fields as follows:

JAP: APP チャンネル
ENG: APP Channel
GER: APP Kanal
FRA: Chaîne APP
SPA: Canal APP
ITA: Canale APP
NED: APP Kanaal

Better still there would be a field for "APP", and it would create the
titles based upon the APP field and the table above. Thanks.

Problems with Complex Forwarder

Hi, with the versión 3.0 the complex forwarder does not work properly for
me. I suppose because of my devkitPPC version. With Customizemii v2.31 works
perfect.

May ask you something, with the Customizemii v2.31 forwarders created, are
they compatible with usb2?

Thanks in advance.

Great job.

TransmitMii Suggestion: File Associations

Thought this might make things a little more convenient (at least in
windows).
Also, saving & loading the last used IP address in the registry/cfg-file
would be really nice (only have to retype the IP if your Wii DHCPs a new
one).

.bnr file support

Enhancement Request:

It would be cool if you could swap out the entire banner/icon by importing
.bnr (000000.app) files. Even better would be the ability to extract
opening.bnr files directly from .iso files, but that might be a stretch.
The reason for this is that I like making game forwarder channels for USB
Loader GX, and I use the banners directly off of the games themselves as my
channel banners. You could also provide the ability to export the .bnr
files so legal banners could be distributed without the need to package a
whole wad (smaller file size for distribution, plus some websites ban wads
outright).

Better detection of whether TPLs are required

Load the ScummVM channel in customizemii
Create WAD without making any changes
Receive message from customizemii that two of theTPLs are not required.

They are not listed in the banner.brlyt, but they ARE listed in the banner.brlan

These images relate to the dancing purple thing on the left of the screen.

The .brlyt only includes the first image
The .brlan includes a list of all three images that make up the animated sprite.

Enhancement - selectable wad packing / encrypting / TMD - SHA updating

Since this program already has all the necessary functions to change the
contents of a wad, encrypt new contents, update the TMD, etc..., I would be
grateful for the ability to say

unpack a wad to a folder and decrypt the contents
pack a folder containing the necessary contents into a wad
update the hashes on the TMD to match the contents

i realize that there are already tools available to do this on the 3 major
OSes, but they are all CLI and cumbersome to use (especially the windows
tools). Please consider it :)

Problem with changed graphics

I´ll tell you my problem:

When I modify Banner and Icon graphics from any wad, and replace them with
customizemii 2.01 (png to tpl), I compile wad and install in my wii with

(in zooms and moves you can see non-cool square deformations).

Can you help me?

Error if the icon.brlan contains no animation

This is minor so you may choose not to fix it. However, if icon.brlan is
made from an .xmlan that looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xmlan version="1.1.0BETA" framesize="1000" flags="01" />

I.e. with no animation (this is a valid brlan/xmlan). Customizemii gives
an error whenever adding or removing images to the icon. I imagine the
same is true of banner.brlyt. The error is:

The index is outside of the array.

TransmitMii long starting time, can be fixed by async update call

When opening TransmitMii, it goes and checks for updates BEFORE loading the
UI and waits for the update call to finish. This also makes the app take a
long time to load.

I fixed this by replacing the call to UpdateCheck() with an async invoke:

MethodInvoker AsyncUpdate = new MethodInvoker(UpdateCheck);
AsyncUpdate.BeginInvoke(null, null);

This will make the application start much faster, and if there's a new
update, it will still show the dialog like normal.

User Reviews And Usage Information

I have found some interesting uses for CustomizeMii and ShowMiiWads that I
would love to share with other users but I don't see any appropriate
section and/or formum to do so...is there one?

Couple interesting uses:

1. Use CustomizeWii to make the WADInstaller WiiBrew application a
channel. The Exit To Loader does not work but otherwise it work great.
This way if you are tinkering with Homebrew Channel or Homebrew Launcher
and accidentally delete them you can always re-install them using the
WADInstaller channel.

2. Using a combination of BootMii, CustomizeWii and ShowMiiWads you can
get your Wii to automatically boot any Wiibrew DOL application that you
want on startup. Instruction on how to do this (and even retain the
Homebrew Channel) are posted on the BootMii forum. Do a search for
LordAshes.

Enhancement: Extract all brl* files from the Option tab

It would be great if you could add an option to the Extract button on the

Along with Sound, Images, Dol, you could include .brl*

Selecting brl* would extract all brlyt and brlan files (icon and banner) to a
specified folder in one go.
Given the names are constant they can all go to the same place.

Thanks

Enhancement: Allow adjustment in dimensions of TPLs

Me again, sorry!

1. I have a channel with a .tpl with dimensions of 154x154.
2. I have changed the .brlyt to state the .tpl is now 240x120.
3. When I replace the .tpl, with a .png of the new size it is converted
back to the old .tpl size.
4. I would like it to make the new .tpl with dimensions 240x120 - same as
input.png

Please can you add an option to use the dimensions from the input.png,
rather than using the size from the replaced .tpl?

I know this isn't as brick safe so would need warnings, etc.

I managed to do this with a work around by editing the brlyt so it would
let me delete the relevant .tpl, then when I re-added it the new size was
used. Then I changed the brlyt back to match. But a shortcut would be
nice please.

Thanks again.

Can there be a help file made for this application? I really don't
understand it too well.
