Update job collections to span multiple pages

We changed our sponsored jobs from 300 characters to 300 words. This is fine, but we need to update our backend collections to generate a job page for each.

  • update collection config to build out the job page
  • the job index page should limit to 300 characters (or something close)
  • update job index template to link to this new page

Update homepage information

Data to update

  • Location info in header needs to be updated with the fact that we'll be online
  • "Buy Tickets" button should be updated to link to CFP
  • Confirm the dates for tutorials, talks, and sprints are the same
  • Under "A conference with heart", update with link to CFP instead of "thank you" message
  • Under "A conference with heart", update with info about sponsoring instead of "Videos coming soon" message

Update "Speaking at Djangocon US"

Data to update

  • Reflect that CFP is open. Add link to Papercall and the CFP deadline
  • Update the dates
  • Confirm whether speakers will pre-record or will livestream
  • Confirm whether we're still doing a "deep dive" section
  • Copy for Spanish track -- and should that copy be in both English and Spanish?
  • Confirm whether we're still doing lightning talks
  • Remove travel assistance section

Add back to top option

I can add Back to top feature on the page, Plz assign this issue to me if you want this feature and also add hacktoberfest label to the issue.

Update "Tickets" page

Data to update

  • Update prices
  • Update types, if needed (confirm with chair)
  • Update dates for refund policy
  • Remove references to being in-person or being in San Diego

Update "FAQ" page

Data to update

Tickets section:

  • Conference is not over
  • Confirm details about sprint and tutorial registration

Schedule section:

  • Remove after-hours events
  • Remove food

Speaking section:

  • Remove speaker mentors

Accessibility section:

  • Remove in-person things
  • Add info on what accessibility things we're doing for a virtual conference

Opportunity Grants section:

  • Remove receipts, remove reimbursement
  • Only mention tickets

Sponsors section:

  • Sponsorships are not closed

Discord preview for talks is still showing 2020 San Diego

Expected behavior:
Preview image for a talk shows 2021 online

Actual behavior:
image

Kati's talk is missing a preview entirely:
image

Steps to repeat behavior:

  • Link to one of the talks in Discord

Is there a script I need to run to regenerate these?

✏️ Standardize Sponsor logic/template display

sponsor-footer.html has some extra display logic that would be useful on the sponsors.html page.

It only displays a sponsorship block if there are sponsors that belong there.

It might also we worthwhile to store our sponsorship plans either in _config or _data or a collection.

Clear out old data

Expected behavior:

Site will show current data for:

  • organizers
  • sprints
  • talks
  • tutorials
  • speakers
  • blog posts
  • jobs

Site will not show:

  • places

Actual behavior:

2019 data is displayed for all of the above categories.

Jekyll template for lightning talks

Drew had an idea a couple of years ago to create a Jekyll template for lightning talks so that we do not have to manually craft YouTube links for each talk

Update "Sponsors" page

Data to update

  • Remove job board section (until we have some jobs to link)
  • Update the header paragraph -- we don't need to feed people or host sprints this year. We should be clear on what sponsorship is helping us with this year.

Post-conference TODO list

  • CoC transparency report
  • Put up the "that's all, folks" front page
  • Send survey to ticket holders asking for feedback and interest in 2022 (include sponsor blurb from STG)
