Hi team,

I started translating Django documentation into Japanese last year. It was reflected to the actual documentation in January (so amazing!) but I added some translation from that point.
I'd like to know how often it will be reflected. Or should I do something for this?

I'm still struggling to understand Github and Transifex so I'm sorry if this question doesn't make sense.

While investigating django/djangoproject.com#868 I noticed that some of the translated contributing guidelines pages for previous releases are being selected by Google as the canonical version of the page for that version, instead of the dev docs as we hoped. I'm not sure if this is feasible or not, but if possible it would be nice to keep translations of the internals subsection of the docs only for the dev release and exclude it in robots.txt for all other versions.

As things are right now, we are confusing Google by telling it that the canonical version of a translated internals page is one that doesn't even exist, for languages other than English:

Alternatively, I guess we could modify djangoproject.com to make the canonical version of internals URLs for languages other than english point to the canonical version, rather than dev?

What would be best / easiest?

Why is there no official translation into Russian and will it appear in the future?

Italian translations of required resources 'index', 'intro' and 'website-strings' are completed.

Other resources 'contents', 'faq', 'glossary', 'misc' are also fully translated.

Current Transifex CLI, used in this project, is deprecated and will sunset (whatever it means?) on Nov 30, 2022. [1]

We should probably migrate to the new CLI. I started to work on a very similar migration for a script based on this repository's script: python/python-docs-pl#23.

Polish translation of docs' intro is already complete. Is it possible to make it online along with Django 1.10.3? Would my pull request be merged?

I noticed that the "About" in this repo contains a link to a google group for related discussions. However, the last topic in that group indicates that there is a new forum for it since 2021; May I change it?
