Hola a todos, soy Luis Sacristán, desarrollador web full stack, especializado en WordPress y aplicaciones Node, aunque también hago mis cosillas en mobile usando Expo

Actualmente trabajo en OnTheGoSystems, la empresa detrás de WPML, aunque he trabajado para el plugin Toolset, la App Adelance y actualmente para PTC y ATE

Entre mis proyectos personales, me gustaría destacar:

  • Shield Authenticator: una alternativa open source de Google Authenticator
  • Podcast It: convierte un enlace YouTube para escucharlo como un podcast
  • Nautilus Movie Thumbnailer: una pequeña utilidad para Nautilus que mostrar las películas que tengo guardades con capturas de IMDB
  • Baja YT: una app que permite bajarte vídeos de Youtube (video o solo audio)
  • checkweb: comprueba si una web está online y, en ese caso, manda un mensaje de Telegram.

Add multilanguage

Initially the app is displayed in Spanish, it should be translated to other languages:

  • English
  • French
  • Italian
  • German
  • Arabic
  • Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Urdu
  • Polish
  • Portuguese

Check how language can be auto-detected

Edit MP3 file tags

When exporting to mp3, it needs to edit the mp3 tags:

  • Artist
  • Title
  • Album
  • Cover

It may be a nice feature to be able to search the tags in MusicBrainz API

Add a video player

When searching for a video, the thumbnail may not be enough for knowing if a video is the one we want to download

Detect if ffmpeg is installed

When downloading an audio file, it is transformed to mp3, so it can be reproduced in most of the devices. For that ffmpeg needs to be installed in the system.

  • Detecting it is needed to not try to export to mp3
  • Show a tooltip in case it is not detected
