Dear all,
it would be very nice if we could make it for the Meteor Day!
Lets count how many of us are in, and see whether there is enough commitment or not.
In case it's enough of us, this could be the right occasion to get up to date with the main repository
...and make @SachaG proud of us ;-)
I'm in for one/two chapters! (no more unfortunately, due to spare time constraints...)
Inizio traduzione
Non l'ho trovato tra le issue...
Nessuno ci sta lavorando, giusto?
What do you think about this?

Ciao,
inizio a tradurre il capitolo 10
Prendo in carico il capitolo 12
Inizio a tradurre
Ciao,
inizio a tradurre il capitolo 9
Inizio la traduzione.
Hey everyone,
I think I could donate part of my time translating some chapters to Italian. I love the framework. Let me know if you still need help and what chapters need to be written.

Low priority and deprecated, it will deeply change see #30
Iniziata traduzione capitolo 4
Cominciero' a lavorarci in settimana.

Grazie
@SachaG Hi guys, with this issue I would like to collaborate to Discover Meteor Italian translation. Thanks!
Alessandro
Anche questo ancora da assegnare?
I'm not sure why but when you push a new version of the italian repo it often breaks the deployment process.
Can you stop pushing changes to DiscoverMeteorStatic for now until I can figure it out?
Maybe just email me to [email protected] when you want me to deploy new changes for you, this way if it breaks I can fix it right then :)
I've started translating the vocabulary chapter, and i think that the technical terminology can stay in English as long as we add an explanation for that.
I've never read much of translated books about programming but i think that words like 'pacchetto' o 'aiutanti' could be misleading.
In some cases, like 'sessione' i think we can use the translated word
what do you think? any suggestions?
ps: forse è meglio parlare in italiano qui? :)
Iniziata traduzione.
Capitolo 7s ancora disponibile.
Dear all,
since, so far, it seems it's three of us assigned to the Italian translation, I'd suggest each of us 'book' a chapter to work on. This just to prevent duplicating efforts uselessly and not to have conflicts when updating the repository.
I'm now finishing chapter 2, after which I'll have a stop for a couple of days.
If you agree with, just drop a comment below here!
Have a nice evening,
Luca
P.S. feel free (or better try to, if you have time) to read my contributions and comment about them. Especially tell me what you think about the form (which is originally well informal and handy): I tried to keep it as close as it was as possible but I'm not sure I've managed to.
Hi @SachaG.
Just one simple question.
What was the general approach about the translation of code snippets? Should we let them as they are in the English version or should we translate text appearing on the rendered page (e.g., buttons' text, headers, sentences, code comments, etc.)?
e.g.
<template name="postItem">
<div class="post">
<div class="post-content">
<h3><a href="{{url}}">{{title}}</a><span>{{domain}}</span></h3>
<p>
submitted by {{author}}
{{#if ownPost}}<a href="{{pathFor 'postEdit'}}">Edit</a>{{/if}}
</p>
</div>
<a href="{{pathFor 'postPage'}}" class="discuss btn">Discuss</a>
</div>
</template>
to
<template name="postItem">
<div class="post">
<div class="post-content">
<h3><a href="{{url}}">{{title}}</a><span>{{domain}}</span></h3>
<p>
inviato da {{author}}
{{#if ownPost}}<a href="{{pathFor 'postEdit'}}">Modifica</a>{{/if}}
</p>
</div>
<a href="{{pathFor 'postPage'}}" class="discuss btn">Discuti</a>
</div>
</template>
And what about the commits' comment?
For example
<%= commit "2-1", "Created basic microscope project." %>
with
<%= commit "2-1", "Creato progetto base per microscope." %>
This is also to be able to stay consistent through all the book.
Have a nice day,
Luca
Hello everybody, I would like to translate a few chapters if there is a spot left.
I've read the COMMONS.md file about conventions etc.
Ciao ragazzi,
Ciao!
Ho iniziato a tradurre il capitolo 9s
nel terzo paragrafo dice:
the file that informs Meteor of how the package should be used, and the symbols that it exports
come tradurreste symbols?
As the title say, how can i push the translations to it.discovermeteor.com?
It's automatic?
