Any time I try to move files into the image folder, Jekyll is deleting my files. Any idea why?

Unsure why our page template design using Elvantly has broken - desperately need help fidning what happened and how to fix it!

I cloned the repository and when I ran jekyll serve I received this error:

Conversion error: Jekyll::Converters::Sass encountered an error while converting Artists-Theme/assets/css/all.sass: $color: is not a color for lighten on line 16

I'm trying to keep the nav bar fixed to the top of the web page.

Try this option in header.html but nothing happens, any idea?

Hi, I've forked your project but unfortunately I'm having troubles with bourbon.

What version of sass gem have you installed?

And also which is your jekyll version?

All of the graphics in the example are .jpg, but mine are .png. When I try to use a folder full of .png for a work folder, I just get dots. I looked in work. html and _work.sass, but I do not see the issue. I've coded my project.html file to point to the .png files in the folder.

I think if we have a animated progress bar like in the link it would imply that we are still progressing to reach 100% Just a thought 😃 👍

I started the last 3 days the DevTips Artitsit template tutorial. After several hours to install all the programs I'm now in the coding phase (part 4).

I created the same structure and my {% include header.html %} is working but for the CSS part I've some challenge.

If I add this code in my all.sass the css works

all.sass

---
body
    background-color: red

but if I add these the CSS NOT working, in the _site the file 'all' in not converting to .css but stay as a .sass

all.sass

@import '3-sections/-sections-dir'

_-sections-dir.sass

@import 'header'

header.sass

body 
    background-color: pink

Hey Everyone,

Thanks a lot for making this theme available. It has been a huge help . I just finished pushing my modified code to github and generated a gh page based website. However, when click on a picture in the "work" section, I get this error in my browser console.

"Mixed Content: The page at 'https://crikeli.github.io/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint 'http://crikeli.github.io/work/proj-2/'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS." .

Do you know if any one has ran into this issue? And if so, how did they solve it?
I'd greatly appreciate any help!

Might be handy to add a button at the end of the work section, so that one doesn't need to scroll back up all the way to view the other work.

the logo.svg is to big, in the videos it is 50 by 50

I have watched debTips for a while already.
Also at the same time learning a little bit of HTML and CSS at FreeCodeCamp.
I was trying to duplicate Travis's "Artist-theme" personal portfolio.
However I was stuck here, I did not know why my code does not work.
Here are a few things I found out didn't work.

• The logo did not show up at all.

• The navigation part (those 4 tabs) can only be moved from left to right of the screen. I can only change the margin of them. Other than that, you can see in the screen shots everything did not work.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but thanks to DevTips I was able to add a side-bar navigation pane onto the Artists theme ( gif above). I'm sure I've mangled this (and the responsive end is questionable) so it would be great if you could do a video or maybe a whole series on different responsive navigation options.

Thanks to DevTips I made our lab page as a jekyll-powered gh-pages repo! See the v0.1 here. It's a skeleton right now but thanks for making this possible! I'd love feedback or suggestions for improvements too!

However, after I publish the site, the layout gets completely messed up

Has anyone experienced this? If so, any solutions?

I just downloaded the Artists theme and started playing with it. I am new to Jekyll. So I tried to follow simple steps: jekyll build, jekyll serve. No errors are reported, but the site layout is totally messed up.

The versions I installed are as below:
jekyll 2.1.1
Sass 3.3.10 (Maptastic Maple)

Maybe someone can give me some tips what is wrong? Thanks a lot.
