While uploading a file, if it's parameters are changed, the tags displayed are unchanged unless next is pressed again. This may lead to a mismatch between intended and actual tags.

There is no hierarchy in the static folder.

Complete integration with CASi

There are a lot of files which are externally linked in the bookshelf site.
Some of them are:

Remove these links ASAP

Currently admin has to go to a particular URL to approve documents, adding such links to the homepage after authenticating the user would help.

When I do Ctrl+click on paper to open in new tab, a new window of citadel open agi]ain and again.

It is currently difficult to scroll through a somewhat large list of professors, when uploading a question paper. It would be better if there was a search bar or something

It would be a very nice feature to add a download course button for each course.
The implementation should be efficient such that it doesn't put a lot of load on server.

Make a section where people can ask for some material which will be listed in a side panel and can be striked out if someone uploads the required files (can also make a notification extension for this so that the person who demanded gets notified).

Repo has name BookShelf while it is advertised as Citadel. Also, slack group has different name.
Please normalize all of them to Citadel for reducing confusion and better discovery.

For example, currently, for each course we can download all the material of the course, but it would be helpful if we could download, say, only the question papers of a particular course or only the books for that particular course.

Possible solution employ ocr to get heading and titles

I asked around some freshers and it seems that they don't realize that this is a crowd contributed portal.
We need to modify our current look to make it apparent.
Can we somehow highlight the upload button so that users contribute?

The div in the approve.html page is not scrollable, so we cannot see all the requests that are present.
Make the div scrollable

This is a very common scenario:

User has photos multiple pages in his phone. Now, he couldn't upload the pictures since our system will not concatenate the jpgs into pdf.
Can we somehow add this functionality?

A file doesn't open when we click on the filename.

Pressing next on upload screen adds submit button without removing old button.

Spaces/Enter should also create tags, and maybe backspace on empty box should remove previous tag and put its contents into the box. Tags can also be displayed within the test box itself. All of these features are present in standard tag UIs like on Youtube.

Add tooltip for validation of upload form

For example MTL106 has a notes section under dharmar but no way to upload to notes.

Currently we can only search on same level which is tiring.

Should we do this? -

• Have a login system? (make it mandatory and use iitd oauth)
• Have some kind of contribution attributed to each material ? ( for allowing people to see who uploaded the material)
• Have a kind of leaderboard ?

This can allow us to gamify the upload system and give credit to users who contributed to portal.
