Power Glove in Link's house?

Is it possible to have the Power Glove assigned to the chest in Link's house, such that you can lift the rock in the southeast corner of the castle grounds and leave the intro sequence while it's still raining? If that assignment is allowed, would you consider adding a feature to the randomizer to choose one or more of the item locations so you can create a game that's set up this way?

Softlock in PoD with 3 Keys

Hi, i should let you know that there is a possible way to get stuck in Palace of Darkness with 3 keys before opening the room where you use the Bombjump for the big chest

Issue: Power Glove is located in Lumberjacks Tree, wich is not avaiable until much later than it's actually needed. The tree should be fixed to exclude the glove from appearing there. (Pegasus Boots should not appear there either IF that may happen).

ANYWAY, thanks for making a great tool that makes a game I've completed far too many times interesting enough to complete far too many times more. :D

Shouldn't allow gloves or mitts in link's house

If you get gloves or mitts in links house you could get out of escape by lifting a big rock. Not a problem in itself but some graphics are glitches, sprites missing and S+Q takes you back to beginning (as in same as starting new game). Might be confusing to casual players.

Level 2 permanently flooded

Level 2's entrance will be permanently flooded after the Light World's moat has been opened just once at any point.
Due to the new S&Q mechanics, this makes the Mirror skippable on seeds that basically don't have the Hammer or Hookshot in Death Mountain. (Which is probably more of a feature.)

It's possible to have two blue boomerangs; I found one in a chest and then saw another on the overworld. Guessing there's 2 blue boomerangs in the prize pool still by mistake? You can usually get it from the Hyrule Castle chest or cuccoo hut in Kakariko. If you already have blue boomerang the other is 10 arrows. I would replace the second boomerang with a permanent 10 arrows.

Additionally I would make the red boomerang/300 rupee chest a permanent red boomerang; and the two duplicate lamp chests a permanent blue rupee and a permanent 10 arrows. Or replace the duplicate/spare prizes with something of your choosing if the vanilla ones are on the boring side!

Feature request: Keep in RNG

This is quite fun to play, but a bunch of the game's natural mechanics are being lifted a bit. Would it be possible to have a branch / switch to keep in RNG?

Bottles don't appear in the menu until you get another item

When you get a bottle before any other Y-button menu item, the bottle doesn't appear in the item menu, which can give the impression that you didn't actually get the bottle.

As soon as you obtain the lamp, or any other Y-Button menu item (the sword + shield don't seem to count) then that item as well as the bottle(s) appear in the start menu.

Seed C6977827, for example, has a bottle in Link's house, and it won't show up until you get the ice rod from the Sanctuary chest or the bombs from one of the chests in the town well.

This has the additional side-effect of having your Pendants and sword/shield/mail status not being able to be checked if you get bombs, then use them all leaving only the bottle in your inventory. While I'd expect this to be fixed via the menu changes in v5, it's better mentioned than not.

Ganon's Tower Key Lock

It's possible to keylock yourself in Ganon's Tower in seed C6693181. It appears that there may have been one too many keys on the right side of the tower. By going down the left side and opening the door linking the first two basement rooms (the one requiring the red cane and the one with the bonk key) you are prevented from being able to get paste either the tile room or the door right before Moldorm 2.

Suggest removing the door between the two first lower rooms (at least for casual) seems like the most plausible solution; however, adjusting the key logic to prevent too many keys from being on either side is also a fair solution.

Catfish Issue

If the Catfish has an upgraded version of an item (Titan's Mitt, Red Mail, Mirror Shield) and you have the downgraded version of that item, he won't give you the item he has. This bug likely affects Sahasrahla, King Zora, and the Sick Kid as well.

Can't Leave Starting House

Whenever I go to leave my house the game gives me a "Save and Continue" or "Save and Quit" menu that I cannot close without it opening up.

Sprite Glitches

I experienced two sprite glitches in C4496861 (v5). One is fairly minor, the other could be problematic, but still fairly inconsequential since it it still shows the correct item once picked up.

  1. Digging game showed three green bombs instead of the Power Gloves.
  2. Minor, but on the bombos tablet the red rupee that fell was only showing half of the rupee as it fell.

Glove/Mitts Bug

We just played a race where the Power Glove was found early, from the chest in the cave where you get the sword and shield from Link's uncle.

The issue is we all got the Titan Mitts instead. Graphic in menu was the Mitts (colored yellow) and we had Lift level 3.

The actual Titan Mitts were in one of the houses in DW village

Save & Quit in Dark World dungeon > Fake Light World

Generally beneficial since it allows early access to all of Dark World and is undone by quitting on the overworld, though you can get stuck on the desert/swamp wall.
Glitch no longer works once Mirror is obtained as you start properly from Pyramid then.

Sahasrahla won't give the item?

I have no idea of the requeriments, I can't replicate it, but under some condition Sahasrahla may not give the reward for the Pendant of Courage

I obtained all three pendants before speaking to him, with the East Palace being last
I had the Mirror, Moon Pearl, and defeated Agahnim 1
I had all Crystals but one (#6)
I did not have the Master Sword (nor its upgrades), but after getting it he still refused to give it

Unreachable Hammer

The Hammer is located in the Ice Palace in the Big Key Room. You have to have the hammer to knock down the mole-post things to reach the pull tongue statue that opens the door to the big key room. The treasure that's located in the room with the pull tongue statue also would require the hammer to access since the button to make it appear is behind the posts.

I've found an unbeatable seed, C3807866. I can't get to mitts or hammer. Need hammer to get mitts and mitts to get hammer.

Various Requirement Checks

The top right tombstone in the graveyard (where you get the Magic Cape) is listed as having a requirement of Boots && Titans to access. The Boots are required to bonk the stairs open, but the Titans are not strictly required. If you can reach the lower Dark World then the Mirror can also get you around the dark rocks.

The 3 chests in the castle escape basement (C-B1) are listed as having a requirement of Boots && Glove. Only the Glove is needed. Unlike the tombstone that leads to the Cape, this one can be simply pushed. And the walls can be bombed.

You listed the requirement for entering Hyrule Castle Tower as "Master Sword || Cape". Which was news to me, but I believe it. However I don't think using the Cape there is fair in casual difficulty. Also your requirements for CanDefeatAgahnim1() are the same. And that is not true, especially if you use the Cape to sneak in. CanDefeatAgahnim1() should probably check for "Master Sword || Net". (Or Shovel, but that's not fair because the Ocarina replaces it.) And then killing Agahnim with the Net isn't casual either.

CanDefeatSwampPalace() only checks for the Hookshot. But the level 1 sword does not damage the cotton balls surrounding Arrghus. Technically one of many other things is required too. (This could only matter if you start shuffling the bosses or something.)

I have no way to beat Dungeons 2 and 3 glitchless (Both require the Lantern or Fire Rod). They are both in the Dark World and the items required to get to the Dark World early (Hammer and Titan's Mitt are not found until the dark world).

v4 Dark World Spawning

A minor issue, but I've found that when I save and quit in the Dark World without having beaten Agahnim, I would respawn in light world (which is intended) however, when I died in Dark World and chose to continue I respawned at the Pyramid.

When I died, I was in the Cane of Byrna cave and selected the bottom "Do Not Save and Continue" option when I restarted in the Pyramid.

Can get trapped in Skull Woods dungeon

In what I like to call "The Useless Room" of Skull Woods Dungeon, you can get trapped and forced to reset. This is the room you can drop into via the southeastern-most hole in the woods, it has 4 bumpers, gibdos, wallmasters, and a chest in the middle.

The chest ordinarily has a small key in it, and I think this needs to be guaranteed, otherwise you will be trapped (since you can drop in, mirroring / using the wallmaster doesn't help.) I got a map in seed C7337684, so I had to reset.

Dwarf to not be removed when you s+q or die in the DW - instead to remain cursed if you spawn in DW (have defeated Agahnim and have mirror) or to revert to Smithy if you spawn in LW (have no mirror, regardless of defeating Agahnim). This allows Tempered Sword without mirror and removes any confusing behaviour with his status and all softlock potential. Have discussed with Karkat and it's the preferred solution.

When entering a specific seed to generate, the exe program will just give a random seed instead even if the seed input is not left blank.

I tried generating a spoiler log for a run i just finished but this prevents from doing so.

Also people cannot race randomizers with the same seed with this issue

King Zora won't spawn if he (she?) has a downgrade of an item you already have. Apparently in these situations King Zora is meant to give rupees instead of the downgrade item (so you don't feel so ripped off I guess)? This should apply to all NPCs we pay rupees to... so Bottle Merchant and Rupee Faerie (when we randomize her)?

Weird light world waterfall fairy glitch

Link's house chest, and all of Hyrule Castle chests.
I think I checked the tree item
Went to forest, checked shroom spot then the hole
Down to kakariko, I think i did the hole first, then the building with the leafy roof. Went to the small building with a bombable wall to get some more bombs, then chicken house, bar, sick kid.

The red sword is available to be throw into the water, despite not having the red sword. Game crashes upon throwing it in.
Earlier today a friend (BlueCrystal004) told me he got the golden sword here (that's the only reason I went to check the fairy myself).

BlueCrystal also visited the hobo before the fairy, so I'm guessing the bug is related to the hobo.
