I don't know why but my goose is glitching, it keeps stopping a lot when it nips my cursor then lets go at the end of my screen

whats stopping someone from decompiling the goose? And make it a virus? they can use things like ghidra etc so why make it closed source but not protect it from decompilers?
Tldr: someone decompiles the goose then they get the code just to add viruses to it

I downloaded the presence mod for the desktop goose. Then I put the presence folder in the mods folder. Then I opened desktop goose and then I opened discord and It wasn't working. I couldn't find the goose on the discord thing. what should I do?

Make the goose able to interact with windows on your screen. It could move them, minimize them (sometimes), or cover it in mud.

Or you could make a mud bucket that the goose could drag anywhere on the screen and cover that area with mud. The goose just does like 4 things, so more actions/features would be better.

I want a mod that allows desktop goose to move to different pages and tabs. So that he can move to the desktop if you're in crome or he can move into a different tab while you're on a different tab

Is it possible to increase the cap for the memes the goose is able to get? (If there is one, at least...)

If that isn't possible, you could try and make it so the goose can pick from a certain range of memes.

Due to the lack of multi-monitor support (and the difficulty of implementing it), maybe a good halfway point would be to set the allowed edges the goose can pull notes/images from. That way, they won't spawn out of thin air on your second screen, but only be pulled from edges that have no extra monitor.

So... this might be a big one and as I'm learning how to do this myself might as well ask. Just like how Goose talks to you from notepad, what if you could talk back to it on the notepad you create by saying for ex Goose.exe : "yur honk to goose" (which would mean Goose would have to pay attention at all times you open notepad maybe... Or reply to the messages on the notepad it drags out.

We all know goose is a asshole, but, what if there is a mod that can ACTUALLY make it useful?
Now we have voice talking to virtual assistance etc, but what about like, you can type things into a popupable text box, with commands to tell goose what to do, such as, open google chrome.
Maybe even chuck some AI to it, such as, how is your day?
I think it's simple to do (With all the current API's out there.)

I already disabled alot of gooses aggressive features, but I reckon we need him to help around.
(I do like the toy mod, it's just again, not useful. If I had this feature, I would use it WITH toy mod to have a little goose pet.)

I think someone should make a mod so when you launcher you will get an option for the goose to just wonder around or pull up memes and text.

The "change config for the mods to work" GIF is properly showing up on the repo/README page, but it shows up an image from the address https://whitenamehate.group/5A6FEba.gif on the actual page, with the text "Image deleted at request of user".

The domain https://whitenamehate.group/ seems to belong to an invite-only image hosting site https://mirage.photos , which holds a number of other domains.

I've tried force-reloading the site with CTRL-F5 and no extensions enabled, and even with a different browser (MS Edge), but it didn't help.

After clicking Support Sam by giving him money via Patreon, How To Stop Desktop Goose and GamerBoi153’s Notepad Pack they show 404. Do not exist.

i think it would be cool if there was a way you can make the goose press the keys aswd or just all the keys randomly for gaming.

Basically, pulling away from the goose when it's dragging your mouse, causing a bit of a fight between control. You'd be able to break away if you have a high DPI a fast enough pull away from the goose.

issue:
when all mods are loaded it causes a system crash, this may be related to a system stability issue. or a stack overflow. ram and CPU allocation has always been a problem with goose due to its unoptimized nature.

closed all opened apps, checked resource usage from goose, its at max, shorty after the system stops responding and forces a bluescreen and reboot.

crashing is most likely caused by a overflow as the goose uses a crap ton of ram like that (12GB) but it probably wasn't designed for that, and the CPU usage its sitting at roughly 50-100%

check SamHub 2.0 in #general-chat another user was reporting a less extreme issue, but I think it warrants a bug report. it could very well just be the gooses hardware limitations, but opening a issue seemed like the right thing to do.

The team needs to get their discord under control and stop spamming everyone nonstop with the verify feature that was not needed at all.

Instead of just getting memes from the images folder it would be nice if a mod could attach to the reddit API and fetch todays' top memes from https://www.reddit.com/r/memes

I'd love to have a timer which let's me start the exe and have the goose appear after a set time, such as 30 minutes or such. This is to set up games beforehand for example.

What this mod would be able to do is pull image files and/or text files from any locations including the designated folders on a user's computer. basically it would not use game/app file folders to pull from and such.
