amazon_dash_button's Issues

Firmware Dump

I tried to dump the firmware on the Amazon Dash by accessing the JTAG pins on the board, but I got the read-out protection error. How did you bypass read-out protection?

BOOT0, BOOT1 pinout

Hi,
do you know if BOOT0 and BOOT1(PB2 according to the manual) are exposed on the board ?
I couldn't find them on the pinout diagram but I though that you probably have an idea if they are
accessible.
I want to retrieve a non-responding board via DFU which requires both pins.

Echo Buttons?

Echo Buttons are available now and I was curious if you wanted to work together on a similar repository for information about them. I have a set at home and plan on tearing them apart soon. I could order you a set if you're up for it.

Private key in the firmware?

Why do you think they put a private key in the firmware? Has anyone had the chance to rip another and check if the keys are the same?

Firmware dump

I tried to read out from the chip by using your method.
But i got the file only 128kb.
In my head this is from ram.
How can i read from flash memory?

Pin Connections

I have 2 buttons that I tore apart and soldiered up and connected to a ST-Link v2 USB ( http://www.amazon.com/ST-Link-V2-Emulator-Downloader-Programming/dp/B00RYVLN4U ) with the SWD IO and CLK points but have been unable to get them to be recognized by the device. I have tried both Linux VM and a Windows box to no avail. I have soldiered them a few times just in case the connection was poor. They power up and when I attempt a connection from the ST-Link program I can see the LED change its power output slightly, but it is never able to discover the device.

What settings did you use with the ST-Link utility to connect? Do you have any other ideas on what to check and troubleshoot?

Thanks!
